Michael Bisping (185.6) vs. Brian Stann (185.4)

Matt Hamill (205.6) vs. Roger Hollett (203.6)

Charles Oliveira (146.4*) vs. Cub Swanson (145.8)

Preliminary Card:

Vinny Magalhaes (204.8) vs. Igor Pokrajac (205)

Evan Dunham (155) vs. T.J. Grant (154.6)

Lance Benoist (170.4) vs. Sean Pierson (169.4)

Seth Baczynski (171) vs. Simeon Thoresen (170.4)

Mitch Gagnon (135) vs. Walel Watson (135.2)

Charlie Brenneman (170.8) vs. Kyle Noke (170.4)

Everyone made weight, some with even a pound to spare, except for Charles Oliveira.

General notes:

- Commentary was ****ing awful throughout the event. It almost resembles WWE commentary, always pushing a certain narrative. Rogan is getting worse with every event, maybe he should cut back on the weed.

- The event was better than it would have been with Jones on the card, but it was still crap overall.

- Nobody cares about the Flyweights, no matter how flashy they fight, because it's always going to end up in a decision.

- A metric ****ton of eye pokes, combined with referee selective blindness disease (DIDN'T SEE IT, CONTINUE!). Christ **** on a pogo stick.

Facebook Prelims ()

Kyle Noke vs. Charlie Brenneman - Brenneman will never be relevant again. Not after this loss.

Mitch Gagnon vs. Walel Watson - Didn't watch.

Seth Baczynski vs. Simeon Thoresen - Didn't watch.

FX Prelims ( :/)

Jimy Hettes vs. Marcus Brimage - Hettes cost himself the fight by being a dumbass. Goddamn it dude, he's a one-dimensional striker, you're not Nick Diaz, what were you doing? The 2nd round could've sealed the deal and he lets him get back up and never tries for a takedown again, being content in getting his face punched in for the remained of the 3rd round. I hope they match up Brimage with Leonard Garcia. That should be fun to watch. As for Hettes, the skillset is all there, he just needs some fight IQ. Oh, and Brimage with a DBZ power meter at the end? Priceless.

Sean Pierson vs. Lance Benoist - This was a nice fight. Both guys just came out swinging and grappling and throwing leather everywhere. Despite ending in a decision, it was a very entertaining and satisfying fight. Benoist had a chance to put it away right at the end of the 3rd when it was 20-18 against him but failed to capitalize on it, hugging Pierson to the cage when he should've just rushed him with all he had. I hope he learns something from it.

TJ Grant vs. Evan Dunham - This fight should've been on the Main Card instead of the Hamill fight, seeing how TJ is also Canadian. It was there until Jon Jones got shifted to 152 and I bet the UFC is regretting the decision to demote it to prelims. What a barnburner. Very good striking shown: body punches, hooks, body kicks, knees, teeps, awesome. This is a must watch fight. TJ Grant keeps rising since his drop to LW. Dunham has nothing to be ashamed of, he put on a hell of a fight. Well deserved FOTN.

Igor Pokrajac vs. Vinny Magalh?es - So, Magalh?es comes out, squashes an overmatched european opponent by keeping on top of him and BJJing him to death for a couple of rounds, heck even letting Pokrajac get up from inside his guard because he was bored, and then finishes. I was surprised that Dana didn't come out and put the M-1 belt around his waist as this fight fulfilled every requisite for a M-1 global title fight. It's nice that Vinny is back in the UFC, but match him correctly. Pokrajac was a sacrificial lamb here.

Main Card ()

Cub Swanson vs. Charles Oliveira - Oliveira still suffers from the same problem he had at LW: not enough power. He couldn't hold Swanson down and paid the price. BOOM! Oliveira just shut down after that punch. Now that Swanson has recovered from his injuries, he's becoming a force in the FW division where KO power is hard to come by. A good matchup after this would be the winner of Yagin vs Siver or a rematch with Ricardo Lamas. If they want another kind of test, Nik Lentz.

Matt Hamill vs. Roger Hollett - Hamill painfully reminded us why nobody was sad when he retired. He just continued his streak of ****ty fights, even when he wins, like he had never had been away from the UFC. Roger Hollett bears his share of the blame, just standing there waiting to be punched, never having a sense of urgency or fighting spirit to go for broke. But the thing is, despite being there just waiting, Hamill didn't take it because he was already totally gassed out from the first round. He just kept going through the motions until the inevitable 30-27, taking Hollett and punching him again and again, every time with less force than the last. Also, the referee went full retard in that fight. "Don't hit the back of the head!" HAMILL IS DEAF, YOU DUMBASS!. Hollett ate more than a dozen punches to the back of head throughout the fight. The judge that saw it as 29-28 was smoking something seriously powerful. Next matchup for Hamill? Retirement again, please. If he MUST have a next match, Vladimir Matyushenko, his original opponent.

Michael Bisping vs. Brian Stann - Bisping outpointed Stann by using his movement, his jab and his overall skills. He fought a very smart and good fight. There's not much to say about the fight. It was good and entertaining. Still, he's nowhere near the level he needs to be to be a contender to Anderson's belt. As for Stann, it's all in the UFC narrative. He has power, sure, but he's painfully middle of the pack. Had he not been a decorated Marine, he would be fighting the Court McGee's of the UFC, not a Top 5 guy like Bisping. Just give a rest guys. He'll never fight for the title and he'll never crack the top 10. Just put him on commentary on FOX and be done with it. As for Bisping, who knows? Winner/Loser of Belcher vs Okami? Winner/Loser of Boetsch vs Weidman? Mu?oz? Lombard? MW Belfort?

Joseph Benavidez vs. Demetrious Johnson - Benavidez lost this fight for the same reason he lost the two Cruz' fights: he's just not fast enough to force his style upon his opponents. Every time he threw a punch, Johnson was fast enough to dodge it and throw one of his own back. He just kept chasing Johnson around the cage and getting tagged in the process. Benavidez is the #1 Flyweight in the world (provided the other guy isn't faster than him). He's in the Chad Mendes/Urijah Faber position, or should we just call it Team Alpha Male position, he can beat everyone in the division except the champion. Also, why the **** was his corner saying that he was up? Don't say that dumbasses. He should have gone for broke as soon as it hit the 4th round. Johnson gets the winner of Jussier da Silva vs John Dodson, Benavidez gets to probably destroy Uncle Creepy. Also, I knew this was going to be a 5 round decision before the fight even started. So did everyone in the arena and who bought the PPV.

Jon Jones vs. Vitor Belfort - Not even going to bother. Belfort had Jones in a bit of trouble with that armbar, but Bones showed some compassion because he could've just spiked Victor's head through the canvas and it would've been legal. After that, it was all Jones breaking Vitor's face and dodging his flurries. The americana finish was the cherry on top of the **** cake that was this fight. Commentary pushing the narrative but everyone knew Vitor didn't deserve a title shot in any way, shape or form, and really had no way to win this. What next, put Bones vs Hamill and sell it as the rematch against the only guy to ever beat him? I sure hope Dan Henderson still has his spot in line but the LHW title picture (squash match order) is murky as all hell yet again. Just lose the weight, Vitor.

Vitor lost nothing in this fight coming up in weight to challenge Bones. He put on a decent (decent in what would be expected against Jones) performance though not enough blitzing I guess due to a broken hand. The reason Bones probably didn't slam Vitor might have been the nerve damage he suffered in his bicep due to the arm bar. He showed some pain in his face.
