Theres nothing concrete on that subject but they said they would like to support modding in the game.

Big news everyone, RUF just joined Project CARS!

Project CARS will include four of Ruf?s icnonic German sports cars, bringing both a true classic and three current RUF models to the title.

1987 RUF CTR ?Yellowbird?

Based on the Porsche 911 3.2, the 1987 CTR ?Yellowbird? is one of Ruf?s most iconic models.

2012 RUF CTR 3

20 years later, Ruf continued their famous CTR range with a new model as the third-generation CTR was unveiled in Bahrain in 2007.

2012 RUF Rt 12R

The Rt 12R is based on Porsche?s 997 platform as Ruf once again cut no corners to create a stunning driving machine.

2012 RUF RGT-8

Based on the brand new Porsche 991 model, the RGT-8 will be the first Porsche 911 body car to not be powered by the traditional flat six engine.

The developers also announced that they recently received a contact from a big German manufacturer interested in having their cars in Project CARS, the developers havnt said much more than this but the speculation is starting to rise @ the official forums !

More info @ the official website!

Hey there guys got some huge updates on Project CARS:

Project CARS funding had a huge boost recently and now they are almost ?150,000 from reaching the goal of ?3.75Million euros! No info has been released yet of what will happen when the value is reached but theres a big chance they will close the funding and also the access to the Pre-Alpha to those that havent registered yet!

Recently it was announced that a major German car manufacturer offered Slightly Mad Studios access to their vehicles, no info has been disclosed about who this manufacturer is but since RUF and BMW are in, it leaves us with Audi, Opel and Mercedes!

Also the 1980 Ford Capri Zakspeed Group 5 is almost ready to be ingame, according to the developers theres a high probability of having this beast ingame this week. Check the amazing looks of this car below, even in a pre-alpha state with missing textures and ambient occlusion it already looks amazing with such refined details like the fully modeled engine!

Yes theres a Mitsubishi Lancer that they have been waiting for quite some time for reference images from the manufacturer and it arrived last week, but it will take a while until its ingame.

I can tell you that it is pretty amazing to see the progress on a car, they post every pic from just a bumper to the whole car done. Love it! :D

So true, and theres new info !!

The developers just released a preview of the wipers working on the Gumpert in a storm condition where you can see the rain drops being clean out of the windshield ! Looks amazing check it out here! (only for members)

Another member jumped into the trailer making bandwagon and made something pretty sweet . Check out "Drive it" by plm5!

Ooh, I'll make sure to hop on tonight, then! Would love to win a T500 RS. Shame at that price, it's not 360-compatible as well; if I won it, I'd be able to get rid of both my wheels then. :p

OK, set my time: 55.660. I'm 242nd, and the top time at the moment is 52.376. I'm struggling to combat the oversteer under braking; unfortunately, I know sweet F.A. about setups. :p

You can check here MightyJordan http://forum.wmdportal.com/showthread.php?9144-Sharing-Setups-BMW-Z4-GT3

Thanks for the link. :) No one's put up a Florence Short setup yet, but it probably won't be too long.

Dont forget that it doesnt matter if you are in first place or last, the prize will be randomly given to anyone who scores a valid lap :p

I know, but I still like to do the best that I can. It'll come in handy when the full game arrives. ;)

It has? The progress bar on the forum doesn't look like it's 100%. Plus I saw a thread on there seeing if they could reach 4 million Euros by Christmas, so I assumed that was their target (meaning they'd still be just over a quarter-of-a-million Euros away).

Nah 4 Millions target was something that a community member was asking for :p

Theres still 1,910? left in the bar but its just for Juniors that might want to upgrade and didnt had the chance to do so. But the target was achieved.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • Apple reportedly looks to blacklisted Chinese memory chips as RAM prices climb by Karthik Mudaliar Image via Apple Apple is reportedly trying to get a clearance from the Trump administration to buy memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) to get some relief from soaring DRAM prices. As per a report by the Financial Times, Apple approached the Commerce Department more than a month ago and also spoke to other officials and allies in Washington. For starters, CXMT is a company that's already been placed on the Pentagon's list of Chinese military companies. The Chinese company is the country's top DRAM maker. For Apple, the timing is certainly awkward but not surprising. Tim Cook had recently warned that Apple would have to raise prices because AI companies are buying up large amounts of memory for data centers, and just like that, Apple raised MacBook and iPad prices. Micron also recently revealed that customers have committed billions of dollars to secure memory supply years in advance, which shows us how aggressive securing infrastructure has become. This gives suppliers such as Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron more leverage, while pushing hardware makers to look for alternatives. CXMT is one of those alternatives, but not the simplest one. Apple has spent many years trying to diversify parts of its supply chain away from China, especially for final assembly, while still depending heavily on Chinese manufacturing and suppliers. Even domestic brands from China are moving towards CXMT and YMTC instead of relying on Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix. For Apple, though, it would invite more scrutiny than local Chinese companies. For now, this is more like a lobbying effort rather than a confirmed supply deal. There's no official statement from either of the parties. What is clearer, though, is the pressure behind such a request. AI demand has certainly made hardware a bottleneck, and companies are trying everything they can to bring things back to normal, even if that means making politically sensitive choices. Source: Financial Times
    • I did test it a month or so back, but ... the results I expect to be on the first page are not there.
    • Neowin is saying these are good prices? Thats crazy. As others have said they are just ######. Time for big tech to bring down the prices for real not this fake crap.
    • The iFlyTek AINote 2 is among the thinnest E-Ink tablets. It has an EMR stylus, a built-in fingerprint reader, and plenty of built-in AI features. You had me until "and plenty of built-in AI features." That and any company that still does the iProduct naming trope is an immediate pass. It suggests the company isn't very imaginative or creative and is trying to piggyback off another company's success. Extremely lame. Also kind of expensive. Better choices at lower prices out there.
