Who want want the Taskbar at the bottom anyway, with the Apple logo on the start button and all. :p

Me. I'm used to the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Also, I'm not really into the Mac-OSX look, hence the need to have the taskbar at the top is eliminated. The 1st thing I usually do with such themes is to edit out the Apple logo. But that's just me.

BTW, stefanka, I noticed a small detail I thought might need correcting. There's a slight shadow at area 1 of the image below, that seems to be missing from area 2.

Sure, a discussion board is full of comments by various people.  However, there are million different ways to comment.  What these "boo hoo" kids fail to realize is that these themers put a lot of effort and time into creating a theme (although some themes can be very quick & simple to make) and the they are more than willing to share the theme w/ the rest of the world for FREE.  Despite their personal opinions (both negative & positive), the receipients (the boo hoo kids) should recognize to wholeheartedly appreciate the themer's work.  If you don't like a particular work and the themer disagrees w/ your opinion, just learn to change it on your own rather than repeatedly "bitch" at the themer to change it for you, or don't use the theme at all.  Again, I know that comments are expected in a discussion board but the comments should be addressed in a manner that promotes a themer to think about or re-evaluate his theme rather than merely ****ing him off by saying "it sucks", for example.  Let's say you're walking down the street and someone offers to give you a free t-shirt.  You look at it and decides not to take it because of the design, color or whatever the reason.  What do you say to the guy who's offering you a t-shirt?  It would be more appropriate to say "Thank you for the offer but the color is too bright for my taste" than to say "It sucks.  Go and make it darker and put a flower print on the sleeves".  That would be rude.

I agree. Themers can request help from a moderator if they feel that they are being harassed. I'm sure that the customization moderators and the rest of the team are willing to provide support where needed. Just let us know because sometime things slips through :)

With that said, I didn't mean that members shouldn't be saying stuff like "Can I have a Windows flag version?", "it's too dark for my taste", or anything in that fashion because remember, it defeat the whole purpose of having a discussion board if people weren't allow to comment and discuss. When comments turned into harassment, that's when we come in and sort things out. Just ask :)

Unfortunately, my english is very bad, but i found someone who translates.

In the first instance i do my skins for myself. But many people contact

me, thus i release them.

I'm open to honest criticism (bug report), but many people get offensive.

I would never say "I don't like the colour" or "That is ****". Everybody

has its own taste and style.

Either i like it or not. But you can't discuss about taste and style.

Like Hush Hush, that's okay. You're right. That's a problem.

But the start panel was more complicated than it looked. I worked on it

for a long time but unfortunately i couldn't do it better. That's due to

the windows interface.

This is a very nice theme.

As far as the negative comments that offer no constructive criticism, I look at it like this:

I feel that the title of this particualr forum " Completed Visual Styles " is pretty distinct in what goes here.

Kindof like, " St. Johns Mall ", where you would expect to browse, and buy things you like.

If I walk into a department store and see soemthing I dont like, its not like I run to management and say, "Hey, this shirt is too dark, its not my type". Nor do I tell Tommy hilfiger that the threads in his shirts are too tight especially if im not going to purchase it

These guys are just posting here for our benefit. I highly doubt they give a damn about anyones approval for the theme. Its hearing that there are satisfied people that makes it worth while.

If I DO download a theme that looks nice and it crashes my PC, then I would say I have the right to complain but when someone offers an ass of time and devotion for free, I have no intentions on throwing it back in their face; goot theme or not.

Im out.

PS: Thanks Themers in general, stefanka in specific.

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with ad blockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Samsung Browser'. It has very little bloat and is a nice-looking web browser with an inbuilt 'Ad blocker'. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. This browser can also install Chrome extensions. I have a system wide Ad blocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the web browser, but over the whole system. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt ad blocker because of that.
