This main event is just a total joke! Anderson Silva is an even bigger joke for agreeing to what everyone knows will be a complete walkover! I've never rooted for Stephan Bonnar, but oh how bad I want to see a shock - Even though there is practically a 0.001% chance of it happening!

If Silva hadn't stepped up, the card would've been cancelled and it deal a very hard blow to the UFC (2 cards in as many months getting pulled). Every fight on the Main Card with draw power just fell apart. I know it's a PPV in Brazil so PPV numbers in the US will be ridiculously low but the Brazilian market is very important to the UFC's expansion plans.

First, the main event of Koch vs Aldo went down the drain (AGAIN) when Koch got injured. Frankie Edgar stepped in to replace him but then Aldo got injured as well. Quinton Jackson was supposed to fight Glover Teixeira but then dropped out due to "injury" (don't buy it, it's his last UFC fight and he wants to make bank, not get clobbered on a Brazil PPV card). Belfort was due to fight Alan Belcher, probably for #1 contender or close, but got pulled to fight at UFC 152, leaving Belcher without a dance partner. Seeing how it's a BR card, it absolutely NEEDS a BR main event or people won't even bother. So Silva stepped up, like he was ready to at UFC 151, to save the card. And Bonnar was the only one dumb enough and the right combination of available enough & irrelevant enough for him to fight. Without Silva to support it, much like Bones at UFC 151, the whole thing would fall apart and nobody would get paid. Also, Fitch vs Silva is a very interesting fight that I'm dying to see.

And here's the card! (I'm being lazy because it overall sucks and I've had a lot of work on my hands lately).

PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook)

- Reza Madadi vs. Cristiano Marcello

- Chris Camozzi vs. Luiz Cane

PRELIMINARY CARD (FX) aka. TUF Brazil washouts vs. UFC low-tier fighters.

- Renee Forte vs. Sergio Moraes

- Diego Brandao vs. Joey Gambino

- Gleison Tibau vs. Francisco Trinaldo

- Rony ?Jason? Mariano Bezerra vs. Sam Sicilia

MAIN CARD

- Demian Maia vs. Rick Story - This is going to be either a short fight or an ugly one. I would settle for short and ugly.

- Phil Davis vs. Wagner Prado - Watch out for those fingers, Pokeassaurus Rex.

- Jon Fitch vs. Erick Silva - THE fight to watch out for.

- Dave Herman vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira - Did Herman even train for this?

- Fabio Maldonado vs. Glover Teixeira - Winner gets a leg up on the LHW title picture seeing how every other elite LHW except for Machida and Bjornes is pretty much a broken toy.

- Anderson Silva vs. Stephan Bonnar - LOL.

No kidding, who has a stream for this card? The UFC is spreading itself a tad bit thin I think.

Bonnar is hard to predict, hopefully his head will be straight. One thing he's not intimidated and not afraid to get bloody which seems to motivate him once he gets cut. I'd love to see Bonnar take an offensive approach and throw some leg kicks at Silva. I see Bonnar winning if he goes ape *hit on Silva otherwise Anderson in 1.

Bonnar bleeds if you breathe on him. Size might be a factor, bonner has nothing to lose, he's a warrior etc etc is all ufc hype machine.

Huh? Noguiera looked to be the most out of shape between the two.

Yea he does bleed pretty easy. UFC wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for Franklin and Bonnar and that blood bath back in the day. Your right about the UFC hype machine and Dana pulling Bonnar out of retirement is nothing less then jacking up the pay-per-view #'s. UFC has declined a little in their monthly fights and people want to see all the older warriors but they're all getting too old.

Bonnar & leg kicks? What? Have you seen him fight lately? Also, the idea that Bonnar could do anything with leg kicks against Anderson Silva is pretty ludicrous in itself. Sonnen laid out the blueprint to beat him, that's it. If you can wrestle him, sure. If not, you have no chance.

Huh? Noguiera looked to be the most out of shape between the two.

Yes, but Herman has trouble motivating himself to train. I think he said so himself after his fight with Struve. Nogueira has been out of "shape" for years due to the toll on his body. Does he even look 36 to you?

going for Bonnar then :shifty:

 It's the sure money.

It wasn't Franklin, it was Forrest Griffin. Also, no one is buying this PPV for Bonnar. If he wasn't fighting Anderson Silva, one of, if not the best PPV draw in the UFC, the numbers would be even more ridiculous. Shogun vs Bonnar would do 1/2 the buys, Bonnar vs Teixeira would do 1/8.

Yes, but Herman has trouble motivating himself to train. I think he said so himself after his fight with Struve. Nogueira has been out of "shape" for years due to the toll on his body. Does he even look 36 to you?

He looks like he could be my dad and I'm 40 lmao

But Randy had been in wars and he is older.

I've only seen the Main Card so here are my comments. As for overall event comments: referees continue to be as dumb as a box of rocks, yelling instructions in English to brazilian fighters. When the crowd is chanting "Tu vai morrer", what they're saying is: You're going to die. Rogan and Goldberg tried to never mention it in the broadcast.

MAIN CARD

- Demian Maia vs. Rick Story - Looks like I got it right and it was a short fight. Maia just rushed Story and cracked him like a nut. The moment when Story's mouth and nose start bleeding from the pressure being exerted was cringeworthy. This loss is the end of the line for Rick Story's WW ambitions. He is still a solid fighter, capable of defeating lot's of aspiring WW, but he'll have to do some major changes to be in the division's Top 10 again. He's 28, so he still has some time but he may run out of chances to do it in the UFC now that he's 1-3 in his last 4, one of those against a short notice opponent who the UFC has already cut (Charlie Brenneman). As for Maia, he's been looking very strong since returning to his bread and butter of BJJ and dropping to WW. Still, both his fights were pretty short so we aren't really aware of the extent of the changes he has implemented. Still, lot's of WW around waiting for a fight. For his next fight, I would say either Jake Ellenberger or Jon Fitch, "name" fights at least.

- Phil Davis vs. Wagner Prado - This fight was hard to watch. Davis got back into the Main Card of a PPV and beat seven shades of **** out of Prado. Prado had absolutely nothing for him because, like I said when they fought on the Shogun vs. Vera card, he was 8-0 in local promotions and never had faced a wrestler, much less one of Phil Davis caliber. And getting beaten down like that in front of your hometown crowd, that hurts even more. Prado's future? I don't know, maybe match him up with Maldonado on the UFC card in Brazil. As for Davis, they'll probably have him fight Glover Teixeira since every big name LHW continually ducks that guy (and for good reason).

- Jon Fitch vs. Erick Silva - Fitch didn't finish but he put on an impressive display like we hadn't seem from him in a long time. Heck, he even tried for submissions, SEVERAL times. Silva said he fought the same way, regardless of opponent, and it cost him dearly. Had he prepared to keep the fight standing, perhaps the result would've been different. Or not, seeing how Fitch was going all out for a FOTN bonus (that he deservedly got). He survived tough submission attempts, traded blows, dominated the fight, and won. Silva will have another chance in the octagon, he has immense potential. I think this fight will be for him what the Condit fight was for Rory: a setback that makes them hungry for the more and gives them the will to improve even more. I would still like to see Silva against his original UFC opponent, Siyar Bahadurzada. As for Fitch, Jake Ellenberger or Demian Maia. Or do something really special and make him welcome Nick Diaz back into the octagon.

- Fabio Maldonado vs. Glover Teixeira - It should be crystal clear to everyone that watched that fight why Rampage was suddenly "injured" or why Shogun didn't want to fight Teixeira. He would clobber them into a fine pulp. Maldonado has an adamantium chin, no doubt about it. He just ate punch after brutal punch and barring that left hook finishing the 1st, he had nothing for Glover. After this showing, the UFC needs to force guys to take fights against him or he'll be on the shelf for a while. A good candidate is Phil Davis, who also won on this card. Another is the winner of Thiago Silva vs Stanislav Nedkov.

- Dave Herman vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira - Somehow I can't shake the feeling that Herman threw the fight. He was holding his own on the ground, wisely not following Nogueira down into his guard, but was content to stand in front of Nogueira with his hand out and not throw anything. Whenever Nogueira tried to land, he would tie him up, throw him to the ground and not follow up. It was a weird performance, on the level of Shields vs Akyiama, where Akyiama mounted no offense despite throwing Shields all over the place. Herman will probably get cut or put in against the loser of Lavar Johnson vs Brendan Schaub (insider tip: it's Schaub). As for Nogueira, he'll be a late notice replacement to Shane Carwin on the TUF Finale and fight Roy Nelson. That, or he fights the winner of that fight.

- Anderson Silva vs. Stephan Bonnar - LOL.

Silva vs Jones plz

kthnxbai

Not gonna happen. Silva is a MW who just doesn't cut to fight at LHW. Jones is a HW who cuts down to LHW. Silva isn't dumb. Also, I've read now that Rampage asked to fight Glover again (on a more lucrative PPV card than a brazilian on certainly). This is going to be fun.

The super fights are all that are left for Silva, be it Jones or St. Pierre, or do we think there's some unknown or up and coming prospect in the MW division that can actually stop Silva? Or do we let him "retire" since it seems the only ones that dare fight him are the ones we all know will lose anyways?

As for all the "injuries" lately what does the UFC do to confirm the injury, take the fighter's doctor's recommendation or do they have a separate doctor to verify the injury? There have been too many injuries and like we've noticed some "injuries" are just for the sole purpose of ducking an opponent, they really need to come up with something to penalize fighters that fake injuries for whatever reason it is, it's bad enough having so many legitimate injuries for anyone to be taking advantage of the system

I'd love to see Chael get another chance at Silva. 3rd time lucky maybe? We know it'll sell bucket loads of PPV buys and tickets and he is the only one who has even really challenged him.

Sonnen lost his credibility long time ago.

In my opinion Silva didn't have the level of competition that other weight classes had.

Silva is most vulerable to good wrestlers and GSP would give him good competition. Silva walks around 210-220 and GSP walks around 185-190.

I find it bit "unfighterly" to avoid Jon Jones and call out someone smaller than him.

They both have a lot of lose in terms of their legacy and both don't want to risk that.

Since he maintained he "will never fight at 205" Then make him to go against Nick Diaz.

And, of course, you may find a word or two about older versions. Windows 11 version 26H2 is now official. Alongside Windows 11's new preview builds released this week, Microsoft confirmed version 26H2, which is coming later this year as an enablement package based on the same platform as versions 24H2 and 25H2. A newly published blog post details what IT admins should do to prepare for the upcoming launch. Next, we have new Windows 11 bugs. Users report that this month's security updates for Windows 11 cause all sorts of issues, including BitLocker bugs, OneDrive issues, black screens of death, and third-party integration in Office apps. Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes. Moving to more positive news, Microsoft and Adobe are working on improving Windows performance in popular creative apps like Photoshop. Thanks to SPGO optimizations, users can expect up to 20% better performance. Finally, we have a few useful articles that can help you recover your PC or make it perform better. For one, we published a guide detailing what to do if your computer cannot boot after a clean Windows 11 install. There are two important steps you can try to get your system back to working in no time. Additionally, there is a more detailed guide on various CPU performance modes that could notably improve performance. This week, Microsoft announced its newest Surface devices powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 processors. There is the 12th-gen Surface Pro and the 8th-gen Surface Laptop. Both devices feature little to no visual differences compared to their predecessors from 2024, and most changes hide inside, including a better processor, faster graphics, enhanced NPUs, and more. The Surface Laptop also received a new haptic trackpad. Mozilla is currently working on a major Firefox redesign, and earlier this week, it published a roadmap of upcoming features and highlights of the upcoming "Project Nova" rework. Files, one of the best file managers for Windows 10 and 11, has been updated in the Preview channel with a long-requested feature. Tree View is finally available in version 4.1.4, allowing you to quickly browse deeply nested folders without leaving the main view. In addition, the update improved the Windows Fonts folder, allowing you to preview each font without opening the default viewer. Rufus, another useful Windows 11 utility, also received a notable update. Version 4.15 arrived as beta with important fixes for silent Windows 11 installation. It also includes patches for ARM-based Windows PCs, OneDrive removal improvements, and more. Overall, the device proved interesting, but not flawless. On the gaming side Learn about upcoming game releases, Xbox rumors, new hardware, software updates, freebies, deals, discounts, and more. Forza Horizon 6 received two big updates this week. Alongside the Series 2 content update, developers pushed plenty of bug fixes and balancing tweaks. However, they also had to acknowledge the Eliminator CR-farming exploit and shut down the online mode temporarily. Luckily, only a few days later, another fix arrived, which re-enabled Eliminator and patched the exploit. Microsoft announced new games for Game Pass subscribers.
