You should have ordered your Apple IPhone 5 from Apple.Com rather than from a Third Party. They ship directly from Foxconn in China whenever Supply is low and Demand is High. P.S. i am Replying to the Previous Poster in case anybody is wondering what I am talking about. Just FYI.

Further P.S. it's pretty Obvious that Apple is NOT going to Launch a New Product on Halloween! That would be way to Scary of an Event that they may get Attacked by someone Dressed Up as Jason (From the Movie: Friday the 13th), Freedy Cougar, and/or The Marsh Mellow Giant (Ghost Busters), while having their Keynote!

Did you suggest me I should have paid $899 from apple.ca instead of $279 with Fido and still be stuck with a 60$/month fee for all my cellphone services ?

Ive is reworking the UI, thus the delay! :D

I would have gotten it from Apple, too, for travelling since its factory unlocked, any SIM will make the phone work. However, the LTE will not work around the world since our iPhone 5 is only for CA and US which s*cks. So I'm sticking with my 4S until we get a better LTE iPhone.

Factory unlock costs between $25 and $125.

Plus, I haven't been outside of Quebec since the last 12 years and I have so many things to pay it's not going to happen anytime soon.

Is it supposed to be coming out today? I thought the notice simply stated November?

I never said it was out today. :)

Rumored to be either today or wed @ 10 AM PST, that's the time Apple usually release their software, iOS 6.1 beta 2 came out yesterday at that time.

That's news to me. :) Thanks for that.

Personally, I'd rather have better Windows performance than a new UI. No matter what system I run it on, iTunes is always one of the few apps that runs like absolute dog ****.

Better upgrade then. iTunes runs fine on every Windows machine I've used it on in the last two or three years. Same speeds as any other regular music player. Really, if you have problems with it, perhaps you should uninstall the Applehate.exe ? :D

It's noticeably slower at loading than other software, like Microsoft Office or Adobe Creative Suite - that's loading it from a SSD. It's also less responsive than most other applications, including web browsers. It's not that it has really bad performance; it's just that it's far from good. It's been chronically underdeveloped and when Apple has added features they have tended to be pretty disastrous, like the Ping and Genius (got a lovely "An unknown error occurred (-3212)" warning just a moment ago).

Apple needs to properly optimise it for Windows and ditch the horrible, proprietary interface. Hopefully iTunes 11 will improve things but I'm not overly optimistic based on Apple's track record.

I do hope that we'll see a "native" interface with iTunes 11 for Windows, but I don't think it'll ever happen.

I haven't experienced any performance issues in a few versions though. iTunes 10 has worked for me pretty well, and I have several hundred GBs in my library. Admittedly, I only use it as a music player, nothing else, so I don't know if that affects it or not.

Now... release iTunes 11 already!!

You guys do realize that it is Thanksgiving Weekend here in the U.S.A. And that most White Collar Workers who work @ places like Cupertino, CA, U.S.A. (Apple Head Quarters) have Thanksgiving Day (Thursday), Black Friday, Saturday and Sunday off as part of a 4 Day Weekend while enjoying Turkey, Stuffing, Sweet Potatoes, and Gravy with their Extended Familes as part of this 4 day U.S.A. National Holiday! Just FYI!

    • Frankly, I blame whoever is writing such articles. "A big improvement/update and/or new feature is now available to everyone! Also, use this unofficial tweak tool to enable it because it actually isn't available to you yet officially and might not in fact even be entirely ready or whatever, hence why it is perhaps not enabled for you*. But it's great and you should enable it!" I mean there's nothing wrong with sharing info about some feature you might need to enable via unofficial means, of course. It's just that these articles tend to essentially end up being two news pieces in one, and one of them tends to be a bit misleading. (*Yes, yes, the "it's a controlled rollout!" thing. Not a fan of that one either. The argument, not the actual rollout.)
    • Thank you. Will do. I read in the release notes that editor config might be at play here.
    • Actually, I think even Microsoft doesn't know how to control it
    • OpenAI is making Codex more useful in Chrome and the cloud by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI's Codex now has more than 5 million users, up nearly 4x from earlier this year. To further accelerate Codex's growth among developers, OpenAI today announced that it has agreed to acquire Ona, a company that builds secure cloud execution and orchestration technology for developers. Ona will enable developers to run Codex with persistent and controlled cloud infrastructure for long-running agentic workflows. Right now, most Codex execution happens locally on developers' laptops and PCs, and the agents work continuously for hours. Through Ona, OpenAI aims to make Codex agents keep working for days without being tied to a user’s local machine or an active session. This will be an important capability for enterprises that want to deploy AI agents in production while maintaining control over infrastructure, data, security boundaries, credential scope, logging, and review workflows. Like any acquisition, the deal is still subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. Until the deal closes, OpenAI and Ona will continue to operate as separate companies. After closing, Ona’s team will join the Codex team to improve developer workflows. Alongside the Ona acquisition announcement, OpenAI today introduced a few Codex updates. Developers can now save Codex rate limit resets and use them later instead of losing them when they are not needed immediately. OpenAI is also adding a referral option where users can invite a friend to Codex and get a saved rate limit reset. OpenAI today also announced a developer mode for browser use in Chrome and the Codex in-app browser. With this mode, Codex can use the Chrome DevTools Protocol to debug web apps, inspect pages, and work more directly with browser-based development workflows. Developers can use this when they want Codex to profile JavaScript, inspect console output and network traffic, examine web page states including the DOM and applied styles, and more.
