Which Cpu cooler is the best ?

Why go silent when you can make the whole neighborhood wake up when you power on the computer? Buy 5 or some odd tornados and throw them in there. Not only will you have your own personalized hovercraft for a computer, you'll keep the cops busy with all of the noise complaints.

haha that idea really made my evening complete.... the image formed in my mind....

With all the fans, just put the computer on the side, and the computer will float in mid-air because of the air pressure out of the box...... hahahahahahaha!!!!!

req: i assume you mean, what heatsink AND fan combos... because i've never herd of someone just changing the fan on the retail heatsink.

get a thermaltake silentboost, or an slk-800/900 with a panaflo L1A silent fan.

sure i'm not gonna change fan on my stock heatsink, doesn't make sense right :)

i could buy separately or combo (like thermaltake volcano 9)

Yeah that's funny

what about that , tell me to your addr. and i'll move to your next door??

Well.. i've been reading reviews here and there online and the best combo i found (and using it myself =P) is the Thermalright SLK900U with Enermax UC-9FAB. This fan boasts 60+ CFM's at only around 40 dB's? correct me if im wrong. But it's a Lot quieter than the stock one that i had and it's a lot cooler too!

I have 2 tornados in my computer, soon to be 3 (the third one has been sitting outside wanting to wake the neighborhood for so long). No, really though, I have 2 tornados connected to a fan controller. Right now the 92mm is unplugged because I can't deal with the vibrations from it against the steel of my case. I do plan on buying another 92mm though, as soon as I get my DFI LanParty so that it'll sit on top of my SLK-900A like it's supposed to.

you poor bugger......... i used to run 2 vantec tornados as case fans.. one on a blow hole, and one on my thermalright sk7 voltage was at 17-24, hit 7000 rpm+

wass cool... but drove me to h20 after a few months

i second that.

its cool and quite. I used to run a volcano 11+... it ran warmer and pretty freeking loud.

I'm behind that.

I got a few people to switch to Vantec Aeroflow, cause it is the best quietest one for the money. Outstanding...IMO. (Y)

Eh, right now I can't hear the tornado at all. I have it turned all the way down to minimal voltage, and have music running. If I was really into extreme quiet, then I'm sure I'd go watercooling, but as it is, the hum isn't that bad when it's all the way down. It's when you turn the damn thing all the way up that it makes it sound like a helicopter is taking off in your computer.

And you will need to supliment these with at least 12 delta fans for that added harley davidson sound :D

I think im gonna buy vantec aeroflow.everyone is saying "cooling excellently and quietly".

plus its cheap enougt to buy.

Excellent choice! (Y) You will be blown away just taking it out of the package, I was, and so were others, it really is awesome! With my quiet HD, the only thing I currently hear is my case fan, which I am going to replace with a Vantec Steath fan. :D

    • Dead by Daylight, Two Point Museum, and more join Xbox Free Play Days for the weekend by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe There is a brand-new Free Play Days offer available to Xbox players, giving them a chance to try out a new selection of games over the weekend. Microsoft's latest promotion brings some high-profile titles, including the sports title PGA TOUR 2K25 and the racing sim Assetto Corsa. Almost all the games being offered this time require an Xbox Game Pass subscription, with only one title being available for all players. Starting with the fully free-to-play section, Dead by Daylight is populating it solo. This asymmetric survival horror title should be the most familiar to most gamers, considering its age. The multiplayer four-versus-one asymmetric survival horror game has you assuming the roles of survivors or the killer to see who can come out on top. This Dead by Daylight offer will be available to play until Monday, June 22, giving you an extra day of play compared to the remainder of the Free Play Days titles. Meanwhile, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can now try out the well-received tycoon game Two Point Museum, the circuit racing sim Assetto Corsa, as well as 2K's golf sim experience that gives players a career to develop alongside real-world pros and courses. Here are the announced games and the platforms they are available to play on: PGA TOUR 2K25 (Xbox Series X|S) Two Point Museum (Xbox Series X|S) Assetto Corsa (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) Dead by Daylight (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) To easily find the titles on Xbox consoles, first head to the Store, and then in the sidebar, find the Home section. In there, open the Subscriptions tab. All the games from the Free Play Days collection will show up in this section for quick access. Apart from Dead by Daylight's offer, this week's Free Play Days promotions will end on Sunday, June 21, at 11:59 pm PT.
