InCD error message. HELP!

Question

Everytime i start my computer the following message appears "Cannot connect to file system. InCD service not running." I have already downloaded the new version of nero 6. This computer is brand new I'm just trying to work out all the bugs, i haven't even used this software yet. Maybe i should uninstall this software(Nero) and buy Roxio's cd & dvd creator?

p.s.-I'm running windows media 2004

Thank you

i believe you need to have a registered version of nero for incd to work. if yours is registered (with a proper serial, not a gammy one off the net cuz alot of them dont enable everything), then try removing and reinstalling INCD. if that fails, contact nero tech support... you're entitled to their help. after all, you bought it.

Did you reboot after installing InCD?, because a new service is installed via Administrative Tools > Services called 'InCD File System Service' - this service is not run unless you reboot after the installation of InCD ....

Radish?

simple. i believe its called incdsrv.exe maybe another extenstion but pretty sure bout the incdsrv as filename. simply incd is moaning its service "incdsrv" isn't launched in the background somewhere. i believe its in the incd directory. dont know as right now i am using easy cd 6.

i must have got this error at least 100 times

    • No point really. I rarely get any responses to it. Btw, Bing is also an embarrassment for MS for the same reasons. The MS fans around here never engage as they have have no defence to it.

    • It looks better but needs quite a bit more GPU and CPU horsepower. Still way better performance than raytracing mode on my AMD video card.
