Mystic Mungis
I play a lot of games and browse quite a few sites, during that time I've picked up quite a few terms that other non tech/gaming people just don't know. I hadn't really thought about it until today when I was talking to my friend about Borderlands 2 and he only seemed to understand every third word I said. So I was wondering what are your favourite slang (or Internet speak, not quite sure how best to say it) terms? My two most used just now would probably be borked and zerged... mainly because of Guild Wars 2 :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1108599-what-are-your-favourite-slang-words/ Share on other sites

+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted October 3, 2012 Subscriber² Share Posted October 3, 2012 None, I detest internet slang, especially Epic It's not Epic, its a picture of a cat with a melon on its face you d**k The only time someone is allowed to say the word 'Epic' without irony is when they're talking about a certain Faith No More song. At any other time they must be slapped. Shane Nokes
FUBAR is one of my favorites. ID 10-T is another one. "We have an ID 10-T situation here." Hmm. Going to keep this somewhat clean as there are others that are for less polite company. :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1108599-what-are-your-favourite-slang-words/#findComment-595222549 Share on other sites

Farstrider
In SA when we say, "how is it?" (How are you?) we say "howzit". bru ? A term of affection like "bra" and "boet", shortened from Afrikaans word broer, meaning "brother". An example would be "Hey, my bru, howzit?" There are hundreds of others but that said, lots of the younger generation (In SA) have become very "Americanised" with their use of slang due to American film and television.
