Umm you guys wanna stop this babying stuff.

WindowsX isnt a two year old, hes being doing themes for some time now, and at the same time taking the credits, and the critisims.

The simple fact is, theres many themers out there who could and in time probably will make their own version of this theme, WindowsX knew all this when he took it on, the only thing he didnt expect was the high demand for it. But it happens.

Now theres no law that says you cant dislike a theme, and no law that says themers need an acoylate of praise for their work. As ive said hes done this before with his themes, he knows the deal, so stop critising people for making requests or stating what they dont like about it.

And for people such as CiN|FuL, I think youll notice there is quite a staggering amount of positive and gracious words towards his theme and effort already in this thread, so take your ignorance, and poor observations of others elsewhere.

1. I think youll note all my posts prior to that have shown appreciation.

2. Ive done themes, I created some of the original and first themes for XP, so im well versed in why people make themes. So get your facts right before you make such inane posts.

NB. Im not turning this thread into a debate, I was merely making a pretty valid and backed up point, and as ive said in previous posts good work WindowsX. So dont take up space in this thread, replying to my post telling me to be grateful.

dude, if there was an award for this stuff you'de win it. i mean you not only built this theme because of public pressure (the uneeded pressure) you took requests, and ideas from the people and put them to work. for this you should win an award. I think NeoWin should hold the First anual "Neowin Awards"

i would pick you for VS maker of the year dude. lets all give it up for Windows-X :D :D  :woot: :woot: :D :woot:  :D

Request 1:

I want file moricons.dll or file which contains about window picture in LH4051

Here is moricons.dll from Longhorn Build 4051 PDC. ;)

Hope you release the theme soon!

Cool! (Y) But can you post the shell32.dll from the PDC Build of LH? That has all the cool icons!

And for people such as CiN|FuL, I think youll notice there is quite a staggering amount of positive and gracious words towards his theme and effort already in this thread, so take your ignorance, and poor observations of others elsewhere.

my ignorance? excuse me?

lets take this quote from Windows-X after i told him that i posted what i did

"10/28/2003 11:11:50 AM

ŴįŋĐŏŵŞ X (Ł???fĪăŔ) - Completed Longhorn Slate theme!

To:

Fůĉķėđ Ūp Őňē I wanna post something like that but don't want to be enemy or make some bad feelings to ppl. "

everything i said he pretty much agreed with....and i told him the reason i did it is because he had been complaining about people and how he cant finish his Pack

the main reason i posted it is because i wanted to get the points across...both me and X agree that his english can be difficult to understand at times and i figured

"hey lets get this damn point across"

ive been helping windows-x for quite some time now...i talk to him daily...so dont give me this bull**** about MY ignorance

i dont mean to flame...but take a look in the mirror

yes there are A LOT of "positive and gracious words towards his theme and effort already in this thread" but there are still the negative ones

i do realize we dont live in a perfect world so there are going to be people that post negative comments (like yours)....but i also find it funny that as soon as i posted more people acted kinder towards his work

he deserves it, no ifs ands or butts about that.... so finally, let me take one more quote from you...and i hope u eat these words:

"take your ignorance, and poor observations of others elsewhere."

Here's the shell32.dll from Longhorn Build 4051 PDC! :)

Download Longhorn-4051-PDC-shell32.dll-DiGiTaL-rar

    • That's just silly imo. The lengths that man goes to just to avoid W11 is just nuts. Very, very few home users would do that. I will say this though, he is committed. Btw, I note on askwoody that Woody Leonhard passed away March, 2025 aged 73. His site was one of my favorites back in the day. Belated yes but RIP Woody.
    • Because of the EU (a good thing) newer android devices been getting 5 years worth of security patches. Except some Motorola which found the loop hole, and offer ZERO updates. In addition, Google for years have been making where it can patch some stuff by updating the core Google Play Store itself.  As echoed earlier,  you take the security risk in to your own hand beyond supported.
