Umm you guys wanna stop this babying stuff.

WindowsX isnt a two year old, hes being doing themes for some time now, and at the same time taking the credits, and the critisims.

The simple fact is, theres many themers out there who could and in time probably will make their own version of this theme, WindowsX knew all this when he took it on, the only thing he didnt expect was the high demand for it. But it happens.

Now theres no law that says you cant dislike a theme, and no law that says themers need an acoylate of praise for their work. As ive said hes done this before with his themes, he knows the deal, so stop critising people for making requests or stating what they dont like about it.

And for people such as CiN|FuL, I think youll notice there is quite a staggering amount of positive and gracious words towards his theme and effort already in this thread, so take your ignorance, and poor observations of others elsewhere.

One thing I'd like to point out Osiris is that Windows X is doing all this for us. Sometimes I think the people wanting the theme forget this and need to cut him so slack. After all, he's doing this for our sake we should be grateful.

1. I think youll note all my posts prior to that have shown appreciation.

2. Ive done themes, I created some of the original and first themes for XP, so im well versed in why people make themes. So get your facts right before you make such inane posts.

NB. Im not turning this thread into a debate, I was merely making a pretty valid and backed up point, and as ive said in previous posts good work WindowsX. So dont take up space in this thread, replying to my post telling me to be grateful.

dude, if there was an award for this stuff you'de win it. i mean you not only built this theme because of public pressure (the uneeded pressure) you took requests, and ideas from the people and put them to work. for this you should win an award. I think NeoWin should hold the First anual "Neowin Awards"

No his theme is not based on that. He's making a blue one based on the PDC theme but I found that screenie that looks very similar.

this s the new slate "toast" notification tile, the spot where Windows Messenger messages, windows update notifications, etc, etc, pop-up. They are configurable, you can actually create and edit "rules" for your notifications.

Those icons are in the explorer.exe, I think. Look at the icon I've attached and tell me if that's it, cos it looks the same as XP to me.

Yeah, people should post a whole bunch of core DLLs. It's not like you can put them into Windows XP and expect it to boot so it's ok. :)
