Personally, I don't like this theme at all. Non-creativity and odd style from combining Luna with Plex additions. But I decided to be for Longhorn. that's why I created this.

You'r not the only who thinks that.

I mean Plex wasn't all that but if you ask me this looks awfull.

It's really a weird plex-luna combo, and if you told me this was downloaded from luna recolored section of themexp i believed it.

It becomes time that they hire everaldo and some apple designers to do the GUI, that would be better. ;)

BTW the port is done very well. :)

Let me give you some terrible about your wanted concepts.

If you want to make it looks OK, I have to make inactive caption bar as active ones wit hdifferent text color. OK?

Fixed.

Wow, amazing! Please release a Beta 2, please!

will you let him work at his own pace, he's killing himself trying to get it done. When hes ready, he will release.

Is it just me or the beta theme only comes with the original black slate? Where is the blue one?

Where is the final link?

jeez. i hate people like you who don't read threads properly. he has been working for months on this project. let him release it whenever he is done and thinks it's fully done.

I hope you see the irony in this; you "haven't read the thread properly" either apparently..."months?" Build 4051 has only been out for 3 days. His first post was Oct. 26

aww, lets look at some more irony shall we?

if you had properly read this thread, you would know he HAS been working on this longhorn project for over a month now, but yes he only started working on the new Slate theme just a few days ago.

 tsk tsk

I'm not going back and forth with you past this point, but we're only talking about Slate and build 4051 stuff, that's what he's waiting to release

No, thats not what I meant. I think he should just immediately package up the current development copy of Slate in a RAR file and post it up here. :)

Wanna heard more. Ones in shot was disposed. CaptionBar is too poor for me to accept. Now I made CaptionBar looks exactly same as active bar but change font color.

AND I WON'T POST ANYMORE BETAS BECAUSE I WILL PUBLIC IT AS RELEASE AFTER THIS TIME IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME THINK FOR SIDEBAR TASK.

hey i thought of an idea to help release this longhorn pack finally

he needed an idea for another thing on the sidebar

well i thought of two... but the problem is we (x and i) both do not know how to do it

if it is possible, could someone make a bandwith monitor/ cpu usage monitor based on html flash or java

greatly appreciated and it would FINISH this stuff so X can finally release it :)

I heard there was a poopy slate theme when you disabled the side bar, I think this was a mistake that Microsoft made. I really think the slate theme (with sidebar) is REALLY good looking and the other one is good, but not as pretty.

Windows X: I downloaded your MSN pack from your site, I like it thank you. And about the theme, sleep is more important then releasing it. YOur theme is my default theme (like I had said earlier) and I haven't seen many problems (I wouldn't know why this wasn't the full cause I love how it looks). Keep up your good work and take your time. I'm happy with the beta for now.

Here are some DLL files from 4051 that contain more icon's and bitmaps incase Windows_X or anyone else can use them.. The zip file includes:

basebrd.dll

browseui.dll

imageres.dll

and sidebardata.txt - just some sidebar tile code that I came across and thought someone might wanna mess around with it.

Download them HERE

    • Ahh, I didn't know that. It makes sense. I was thinking I would be fine with 50 hours, but 100 is close enough that I wouldn't feel like I am paying for more than I am using. I might check it out sometime.
    • Google's next-gen Tensor AI chips might be produced by Samsung, report says by Hamid Ganji Image via Google Google’s Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) is produced in collaboration with companies such as Broadcom and TSMC, but a recent report suggests that the search giant is in talks with Samsung to hand over part of the production to the Korean tech company. According to a report by The Information, citing people familiar with the matter, Google has begun talks with Samsung about using its chip manufacturing capacity for the next generation of Tensor AI chips. Google’s upcoming TPUs are reportedly codenamed “Icefish” and will be produced using Samsung's 2-nanometer process technology. Meanwhile, Samsung is expected to produce only a portion of the next-generation Tensor chips, with most of the production remaining at TSMC. The Information says the new Tensor chips are currently in the design stage and are scheduled to enter mass production in 2028. TSMC is generally considered one of the most reliable chip manufacturing partners and is trusted by tech giants such as Apple and Google. However, the growing demand for TSMC’s AI chips, combined with the company’s focus on meeting demand from AI data centers, has reportedly prompted Google to seek additional manufacturing partners for its next-generation TPUs. Besides Samsung and TSMC, Intel could also be assigned part of the production. The Information reported this week is that Google has begun talks with Intel to produce up to three million TPUs in 2028. However, this is not the first time Google has partnered with Samsung on chip production, as Samsung has previously manufactured Tensor chips for Pixel smartphones. Google’s Tensor Processing Unit is used in cloud data centers and competes with NVIDIA’s chips, which currently dominate the market. By relying on in-house chips, Google can not only reduce its dependence on third-party providers but also create new revenue opportunities. The company has already supplied its TPUs to the AI firm Anthropic.
    • Reminder that the Premium and Ultimate plans already come with a 100 hour per month limit, which you then have to pay more to increase in 15 hour blocks.
    • It does invite Linux because MS should have been improving their products all along these years instead chose to ignore the users now this year they’re making all of these improvements to their products where as Linux doesn’t have this kind of problems in fact it has gotten so good I can even play Windows games in Steam that I no longer ever needed Windows to carry on with my life, unlike you still use Windows and chose to try beat down down those who don't use Windows because they love their LG TV. (Surprisingly I actually own a 55” LED LG TV and it has been going strong for almost 14 years, longer than any Sony TV”)
    • As much as I love owning my own hardware, it's hard to argue with the value. I'm not a huge gamer, I'd actually be interested in a cheaper plan with limited monthly hours, or even a pay-by-the-hour plan.
