Longhorn PDC - Slate

Just a question from a newbie.....I downloaded the logonui.exe file from here. What am i supposed to do with that one? It wont work with StyleXP to switch the logon screen :no:

Am i supposed to just replace my old logonui.exe file or what?

Well while we're all having fun with this new theme I thought I'd post a shot of my desktop now that I've finished tweaking around with xp and the slate theme.. can't wait to play with the final version, great job Windows X :)

i personally like the lighter one, but the darker one is pretty cool to... can you include them both? if not, then definately the lighter one so we can have some contrast

I REALLY like the darker one. I don't know what it is but I like it a LOT better then the lighter one. The lighter one is WAY too plain.

probably not cause its going to be part of a visual style. unless you got win 98/me to work with visual styles then its not going to work.

not to start bashing or anything, but why havent you upgraded to at least 2000 yet, let alone windows xp? dang. id punch myself in the face.

its the operating system that came after windows 98 that was the start of ms's doing away with the 98 kernel and all of its corrupt hell. its built on the nt kernel, and its quite nice. id still go for xp. i mean, just walk into the store and steal it if you have to.... not that i did that or anything...
