Hello memodude, I understand completely - but to me and people like Tai (and I'm sure, alot of others), we aren't sure what we are doing and we don't want to break our computer. Not all of us are that familiar nor are we that willing to risk breaking our computer when it could be as simple as just clicking a normal file that could be downloaded from themexp.org or something (but of course, you know that already - and I'm just stating it again, for the benefit of everyone else).

Thanks for your effort in typing out the DOS commands again, though! I just don't want to risk Windows dying with quite a few of my settings and my backup documents already in place (it's just too troublesome, and it's Uni exam period down in Sydney, so if I lose my Windows now - I may risk not being able to get to all my documents, or files may get corrupted or something... the Transformation Pack is too risky at this stage, for the novice user who just wants to click a theme, and change it).

Again, thanks for explaining, and I know, Windows X is under no compulsion/obligation to have to do anything for us. It's good to see he's moving on to more advanced stuff, although it does leave a few novice users behind. Sawadee Krap, Windows X!

You don't have to do any of that though; x said that if you check "don't change it" to everything it makes no changes except the theme.

Hi MemoDude...I tried ur sidebar...

Looks pretty smooth

I don even know the abc of VB so i cant develop any module :(

But still it look pretty good

Its light mayb cuz ummm its empty :p

All i want is a mediaplayer...clock like the one in aero and a notepad..dats it

Keep up the good work

Why dont u start ur own thread...Dat wud be good !!

Once that SideBar done, I would regardly ask you to add it in LH Pack too like you said before :)

Thanks. :D It'll be a while before I finish it, I want to make a big selection of modules, as well as put in module scrolling, a module gallery and web service, make the clock and weather work, add Longhorn-looking controls that appear when you mouse over the WMP, make it possible to load a file in WMP, etc. :p

I have something to ask you guys about my theme. Should I turn my shellstyle in PDC to XP ones for solving thumbnails problem?

If you do, please keep for download a/the fixed size horizontal shellstyle. :) You mean filmstrip view, right?

I know that the Start button is what most people dislike most about this theme...I saw the LH64 screenshots...well, see for yourself, they have a different start button:

that's the startbutton you'll get when the SideBar is disabled, the 32-bit version of LH 4051 has it too...

    • Are they on crack at M$? Surely living on an alternative reality? A good dump of mine would run faster down the toilet if I did not flush it. But still looks better than this pile of slop. By the way, did they also comment on what's the next "functionality added"? Maybe you can improve it if you add even more stuff to this vomitware.
    • I don't find them "bitchy" or "whiny". I think the term you should use it, uhm, "passionate."
    • Ahh, I didn't know that. It makes sense. I was thinking I would be fine with 50 hours, but 100 is close enough that I wouldn't feel like I am paying for more than I am using. I might check it out sometime.
    • Google's next-gen Tensor AI chips might be produced by Samsung, report says by Hamid Ganji Image via Google Google’s Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) is produced in collaboration with companies such as Broadcom and TSMC, but a recent report suggests that the search giant is in talks with Samsung to hand over part of the production to the Korean tech company. According to a report by The Information, citing people familiar with the matter, Google has begun talks with Samsung about using its chip manufacturing capacity for the next generation of Tensor AI chips. Google’s upcoming TPUs are reportedly codenamed “Icefish” and will be produced using Samsung's 2-nanometer process technology. Meanwhile, Samsung is expected to produce only a portion of the next-generation Tensor chips, with most of the production remaining at TSMC. The Information says the new Tensor chips are currently in the design stage and are scheduled to enter mass production in 2028. TSMC is generally considered one of the most reliable chip manufacturing partners and is trusted by tech giants such as Apple and Google. However, the growing demand for TSMC’s AI chips, combined with the company’s focus on meeting demand from AI data centers, has reportedly prompted Google to seek additional manufacturing partners for its next-generation TPUs. Besides Samsung and TSMC, Intel could also be assigned part of the production. The Information reported this week is that Google has begun talks with Intel to produce up to three million TPUs in 2028. However, this is not the first time Google has partnered with Samsung on chip production, as Samsung has previously manufactured Tensor chips for Pixel smartphones. Google’s Tensor Processing Unit is used in cloud data centers and competes with NVIDIA’s chips, which currently dominate the market. By relying on in-house chips, Google can not only reduce its dependence on third-party providers but also create new revenue opportunities. The company has already supplied its TPUs to the AI firm Anthropic.
