Personally, I don't like this theme at all. Non-creativity and odd style from combining Luna with Plex additions. But I decided to be for Longhorn. that's why I created this.

I started this work about 12:00 AM by downloading PDC's resources from my crew. Finished at 6:45 PM Here's Slate. Too bad that my Dang ISP won't let me upload data more than one packet (just let me upload few texts) so I can't post this to you before mid-night.

I have some problem about using ImageCount for ToolBar Background which is not possible for my skills or it's impossible. So it ended up like this.

Now it was done from your request. With my Mistic Blue version.

I also add registry file to make toolbar looks like Aero Toolbar. They're

-activate.reg (Makes toolbar to real Aero style. Still buggy when resizing)

-activate_pdc.reg (Makes toolbar to alternate Aero style. Also solve resizing bug)

-deactivate.reg (Makes toolbar to original XP style. Also resizing buggy as it being)

After I've added Avalon graphics in Aero and looks great with it, now I tried on Slate part and end up like this. This is a bit far from Slate (Original work) so should I make Slate 4.0 like this?

Very nice WindowsX....I like the new max/min buttons......please keep them. However, I like the shellstyle of v.3.0 better as it is on the side and better for xp IMHO.

Not to hound you cause I know a bunch o' people ask all the time, but when will this new version be ready for d/l?

    • Close, but it is for any application starting, not just during boot time. In fact, it probably will not improve boot time at all because during a boot, the CPU is already boosting, so a pre-boost wouldn't change anything. I agree that it isn't exciting (especially considering every other OS already does it), but it is a good thing, even if they are just playing catch up.
    • Any so called performance increase will be in milliseconds, which nobody will actually notice in real world usage.
    • All it does is use the CPU more efficiently during boot to speed up boot times. That's it. Yawn....
    • It's not a one or the other kind of thing. Software should run efficiently, and the operating system should appropriately manage the CPU clocks. You could have the best most optimized software on earth, and it will still run faster if the CPU does a better job of boosting as needed. All this is doing is pre-boosting the CPU based on user actions, instead of waiting for the normal detection mechanism to kick in. If the OS knows it is about to need more CPU, why shouldn't it use that knowledge? It's the same idea of downshifting before passing someone, instead of just burying your foot into the peddle and waiting for the transmission to figure out what you want to do.
