GTX 650 or Radeon HD 6770?

My mate is getting a PC built and has the choice between a GTX 650 and a Radeon HD 6770 (both 1 GB models).

Which do you suggest?

There aren't many results on Google comparing the two.

Wouldn't this be a close call if you were comparing a Radeon 7700+ ? I do not know.

Radeon 7770 and 7750 beat GTX650 and priced on par or less than GTX650 price

I know NVIDIA has nice little game exclusives such as PhysX and, for some games, tessellation (optimized for NVIDIA cards) but I've noticed unless you have a x80 model, those features just kill the framerate anyway.

the GTX 650 isnt for gaming - at least at high res. you're going to get really terrible framerates at anything over 1280x720

if the person wants to game, they'll need at a 660 at least.

I would highly recommend kicking it up to a 660 Ti. Otherwise, just go with the previous gen GTX 570 or higher.

But if you're looking for something on more of a budget, then ATI usually wins in that regard.
