OK so I am switching banks in a few days (more benefits like travel insurance etc) anyway back when I opened my account I sign my name COMPLETELY different... It has gone from "L A Bristol" to "Luke Bristol" (That is not my real last name) and I can not remember how to sign it and now I am in panic mode because I can without fail write my name down 1000 times and each one will be different and I think I am probably likely to run into issues when I go to sign the documents ><.

Does my signature have to look exactly the same? (I always do my Ls, As, Bs etc all the same but the signature who doesn't like the same) every single time because if it does I am probably screwed.

So I guess my question is, how do you make sure you sign your name the same every time?

Edit: Just thinking, I am a lefty and after shattering my left wrist as a child my hand writing has never been that good, it was perfect beforehand but I spent countless months trying to improve it and it didn't work. Also I can not write with my right hand, I literally get confused when I do.

My signature is consistant now but it's nothing like what it was when I started signing things, I've had little trouble even so. Companies tend not to care as long as you accept whatever horrific application they give you.

You can change your signature when you like, just so long as you can identify it as your own if you are asked "Did you sign this?"

If they pull you about having a different signature, so long as you can prove you are who you say you are, there will be no problem

I agree with the previous commentators, an inconsistent signature is not a problem.

However, if you want a consistent signature a little quicker and you got too much time on your hands, sit down and write your signature as fast as you can (but in acceptable form) for half an hour.

This should give you a nice burn in. :p

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates. Diagram faster with keyboard shortcuts. draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 changelog: Uses electron 42.5.0 #2452 Updates to draw.io core 30.2.6.
