MS Word 2010 question

I am typing an essay and I forwarded it to my brother who is an English teacher, he sent it back with comments, but there is one thing I can not figure out how he did, I have attached the screenshot in hopes that someone knows how this is done! He calls it offset text, but I am unclear of how this is done!

Look in the Review tab of the Ribbon, pretty hard to miss unless you've customized it beforehand.

Under Tracking options > Change Tracking Options you can set the color, too, so that no confusion ensues of who commented what.

^ That is not what I am asking for, I am asking how to create the text alignment the way it is showed.

Wasn't that just a left justified text? Or do you mean something like this?:

No, i called him and he said he just used tabs, which I manged to get to work also.
