looking for a free host for a friend, and came across this list online. I?ve previously had a paid host with lunarpages but these free offerings seem pretty complete, with no forced ads. is there a catch, or can anyone suggest an alternative

freehostingcloud is ok... they give you Interworx control panel tho and not cpanel. still pretty decent if you need a site for a test page or something... I dont recommend running forums off it though. It is hella slow... even running lean-and-mean vanilla forum engine is slow as hell. let alone a script like mybb or php-fusion or anything like that. might run wordpress fine though

ye, it took sometime for help to arrive on neowin, we did wait! but decided just to take a punt and try it, didn't really have anything to lose
