You didn't mention if you're up for paid solutions, but Malwarebytes + Nod32 = Safe :)

I'm up for paid solutions. ;)

And yeah I'm really paranoid haha and I currently have Bitdefender, Comodo Firewall, Malwarebytes, and SUPERAntiSpyware.

If you are really serious, then pay for sandboxie.

Why wouldn't I be serious? And yeah, I already have the free version of Sandboxie.

Paid version is better because it force sandboxes the browser exe's when ever they are open. So you can't accidently open a browser session via a different app and then forget you are unstandbox.

Okay, thanks for that!

Anyways, back on topic.

I always liked SuperAntispyware better. PCtools always felt REALLY heavy and always tended to really slow a machine down.

So like someone said, malwarebytes paid + Av is good and then just do a superantispyware free scan every once and a while.

I am using Malwarebytes at the same time. Though I'm paranoid and that's why I'm installing a bunch of crap haha :)

ALL you need is ONLY MALWAREBYTES pro... I download warez, torrents, porn, surf porn, and malwarebytes 100% success. I also clean up others peoples machines from them downloading warez, torrents, porn, surfing porn as well with 100% success ratio. Its all you need... really. Anyone tells you that you need more are probably wearing a tinfoil hat. Before the last 4 years, used malwarebytes free with avira for my machine, the machines i serviced and sold, but after going Pro, dropped Avira and never had to look back.. ever.

edit: I do ocassinally (after 4 years it seems 100% unnecessary) do scans with other suites JUST incase (including superantispy) but have not once had malwarebytes miss anything.

    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
