cartoonish compared to Halo 4?!?! bwahahahahahahha.... gasp.... bwaaaahahahah... Halo 4 is the most cartoon like out of all modern shooters. You are clearly talking out of your ass.

I have got the game installed, but haven't found time to fire it up, but Halo 4' graphics do look impressive. Not cartoonish. At least to me, they are not

I've been playing FPS games on PC for about 14 years now. I have to admit, I've started moving over to console for my FPS fix due to cheaters.

It's so easy to cheat on PC, anyone can do it. Sure there are cheats and hacks on Consoles but there are very few and they don't last very long at all.

3 or 4 years ago I said I'd never play an FPS game on a console. Now I buy pretty much all my games on PS3.

The worst part about it is leaving my friends behind who still refuse to move from PC to Console.

I think hackers will be the death of PC gaming, not piracy.

I have yet to see any hackers on the pc version. Heck, I play a lot of pc fps games and never run into hackers, they aren't nearly as common as you are making them out to be.

you'd think that with the millions upon millions that treyarch is raking in, that they could afford some dedicated servers for consoles. it's extremely irritating when the host decides to turn off his system because his K/D ratio was less than perfect, and ruins the game for the others.

i'm enjoying the game otherwise but the hosting issue has always plagued these games.

You have to understand, everyone says hackers are rampant because they don't want to admit they suck and thats why they keep dying lol.

just finished singleplayer and it was excellent..

The characters, the story are so well crafted. Still not amazing amazing but this is probably one of the better ones I played in action games. You can definitely see the touch of David S Goyer. I like a lot where they are going with this.

My ending wasn't so happy. It was very dark.

livin in a box - was about to say the same thing, a year or two ago this thread would have been fifty pages by now. just look at the BF3 thread. this has nothing to do with BLOPS2, though, it's all us as the neowin community :(

and I totally agree with Viper - finally went back to full on FPS MP on PC, and it's great to be back. Where are all these rabid cheaters and hackers? I ran into maybe a couple in a few days of BLOPS2, and even those are big maybe's. this game looks great on PC, super detailed and crisp. if it's an engine from 2006, it sure don't look like it. besides, MOH Warfighter has Frostbite 2, and how many people play that online?

I can't express how much I enjoy the MP here, it's so rich and detailed and the maps are excellent. proper spawning, large arenas, good balance between crazy action and tactics. I love it. this is the best COD since MW for sure, maybe the best ever, time will tell. definitely getting the season pass for it!

So I had no idea the game supported 3D on the 360 until I saw this LG commercial touting the fact the other night.

I decided to check it out, and it is easily the best 3D of gaming this generation of consoles.

I had to play with some of the depth settings on my TV itself to get rid of some ghosting, but once I did, the 3D in SP was pretty damn amazing actually. As I said, easily the best game of this generation, and that all boils down to the fact they insist on keeping 60 FPS without 3D.

My brother had told me when he played in 3D its really only the UI and (IIRC) the gun? So is it well done or just "the best" because all other games' attempts (Crysis 2) suck at it this generation (yes I understand because of the technical limitations). Just curious :)

Was trying to decide whether to get this today or Halo 4 and I got Halo 4. Liking it so far but definitely wanted to get this too, just spent all the money on other things. :) Guess I can get it during the Christmas time where it will be cheaper too.

Based on what I saw though plus stuff from friends it's looking sweet as well. I don't think Halo is bad per say, just different group of people enjoy either choice and I happen to like both, more fun for me then.

I might end up getting it this weekend though as I am still drooling over this game too, still wanna finish the last one on veteran now!

You've gotta be kidding surely? You'd be surprised just how many people are actually cheating on your chosen server but just hiding it well. These are the people who cheat is leagues and get away with it for years.

Slane, sorry dude, playing it on PC!

Larry, I thought you said FPS on PC only like three years ago hahaha, what happened?

Shotta - this can wait, get it when you can afford it, it's still going to be the same awesome game!

And Muhammad, only one strike force mission is mandatory. I failed it miserably, as you say they're really hard. I think it changes the ending, as the SP this time has MULTIPLE ENDINGS in a COD title!

Larry, I thought you said FPS on PC only like three years ago hahaha, what happened?

This game does not really count.

Truth is, I have become a lot more flexible about things, and I do like the comfort of my couch, so I do not HAVE to play them on PC, just prefer them when possible. But the main inspiration for getting it on the 360 is all of my friends own it on that. That really is the main reason.

Anybody playing this online for 360?

Starting to suck playing by myself all the time. Hard to win. :(

Get involved with a clan. I do, one that doesn't take it too serious and is all about having a laugh. Hackers/boosters are kicked out immediately. Just go to the Elite app. Many clans advertise they want players. Just a thought

Got it Larry, i can see the logic. Guess Steam big picture mode is for folks like you! for me it's the opposite, i'm really enjoying it on PC and have gotten most of the season's big titles on PC.

Haven't tried zombies yet...is it any good? what's the story like? sounds very L4D-ish.

Me and my brother been blasting the Zombies the past few nights, middle map cant think what its called, original difficulty just the two of us , managed to get to level 20 last night :| Oh my god, it kicked right off!!

Middle map? You mean Town? lol

    • A different thing with Russia. When you say is it better, depends on things. It is better that we don't have the E.U making rules and laws that have nothing to do with them. Is the trading part better? No, that is really mucked up, but then we knew that was going to happen and we would have make agreements, like we do with other parts of the world. Freedom of movement is certainly better, but could be improved, we still need more control over our borders. do you live in the U.K?
    • So what am I quoting from them? I never listened to what Farage or his cronies said. I wanted the U.K to leave the E.u years before the referendum and it had nothing to do with Farage and his cronies. So what country do you live in? Did we work much better together? We were always at logger heads with the E.U because we disagreed with them so much. Maggie was always on at them. I would have thought the E.U was glad to get rid of us as we stopped the integration or made it a two tier. Now without us they can integrate more. I would not have voted out if it was just a trading block and we can still work together on somethings.

    • Apple reportedly looks to blacklisted Chinese memory chips as RAM prices climb by Karthik Mudaliar Image via Apple Apple is reportedly trying to get a clearance from the Trump administration to buy memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) to get some relief from soaring DRAM prices. As per a report by the Financial Times, Apple approached the Commerce Department more than a month ago and also spoke to other officials and allies in Washington. For starters, CXMT is a company that's already been placed on the Pentagon's list of Chinese military companies. The Chinese company is the country's top DRAM maker. For Apple, the timing is certainly awkward but not surprising. Tim Cook had recently warned that Apple would have to raise prices because AI companies are buying up large amounts of memory for data centers, and just like that, Apple raised MacBook and iPad prices. Micron also recently revealed that customers have committed billions of dollars to secure memory supply years in advance, which shows us how aggressive securing infrastructure has become. This gives suppliers such as Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron more leverage, while pushing hardware makers to look for alternatives. CXMT is one of those alternatives, but not the simplest one. Apple has spent many years trying to diversify parts of its supply chain away from China, especially for final assembly, while still depending heavily on Chinese manufacturing and suppliers. Even domestic brands from China are moving towards CXMT and YMTC instead of relying on Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix. For Apple, though, it would invite more scrutiny than local Chinese companies. For now, this is more like a lobbying effort rather than a confirmed supply deal. There's no official statement from either of the parties. What is clearer, though, is the pressure behind such a request. AI demand has certainly made hardware a bottleneck, and companies are trying everything they can to bring things back to normal, even if that means making politically sensitive choices.
