+Biscuits Brown MVC Posted December 2, 2012 MVC Share Posted December 2, 2012 I use them because I do not have a smart phone so when the internet drops or the power is out I can still look up numbers. One of the reasons we still have a land-line is the fact that it works when the power is out.
Ambroos
Nope, I unsubscribed and don't receive them anymore either. I suggest that everyone who does still receive them but never uses them or just throws them away to search on the website for the company that provides the books for a way to unsubscribe. Those books are usually huge and a gigantic waste of paper. I mean, think of the trees.

Marshall Veteran Posted January 25, 2013 Veteran Share Posted January 25, 2013 I find it ridiculous that these companies are wasting resources when the Net has made the phone book almost obsolete. In short, no It goes straight to recycling.
BeerFan
I use it every once in a long while. Usually i can find what I want on that thing they're calling "the internets".

BeerFan
The Phone company is killing trees for nothing. It's not just "the phone company"... take a look at who's name is on your last several phone books. I get a few per year from different groups.
