Photoshop 8.0

I have it too, the Paradox release.... though I can honestly say I HATE it!!

It is better then 7.01 in almost any area, it loads just as fast and has more features.

But for some STUPID reason (could be the crappy crack) it doesn't respond on keyboard shortcuts. If I use CTRL+Z or CTRL+X or whatever keyboard shortcut it just doesn't respond.... it does nothing.

Also the shortcut remapper function doesn't work at all.....

I uninstalled it and reinstalled version 7.01, because this way I can't work with it.

I think photoshop 8 will not be as good of an upgrade as 5 was to 6, the worst upgrade was 6 to 7. its nothing. the one that is gaining most ground is paint shop pro and photoimpact. I got microsoft Photo suite as a gift and it rocks if you add plugins, you can even add plugins which u use in photoshop ussually

Look eh.. if you didn't follow Paradox instruction and just run Photoshop CS, all the keyboards shortcuts would work.. and once you apply the patch, the keyboard shortcuts would fail (all the keys start with Ctrl)

So yeah their crack is messed up.

Once again, you got the warez, so you deserve all the impairity..lol

So is it really worth buying despite the name?

Been exploring it and I have to say no.... it is not worth to spend any money to upgrade I think.

Frankly the step from 6 to 7 wasn't really worth it either.

Let's face it, Photoshop is definitly the best in its class, it is unmatched at the moment and therefore it is hard and maybe too hard to make it even better. Not saying PS8 is bad, absolutely not, it is definitly better then 7, but I don't think it justifies the 169 dollar price tag for upgrading. At least not for most people.

True professionals that work day in day out with PS might see the new version as a usefull upgrade, but the regular (home) user doesn't really need it.

Lucky me, I can buy it for $40 (well probably in 2 or 3 months from now) on a student license easily at school so I will surely upgrade.

Oh I fully agree. Just saying that without working shortcuts it is kinda useless for me.

It is probably the crack like you say. The full and legal version will rock, like all versions of Photoshop did.

I will definitly buy it when I'm able to get it with a student license.

In the meantime I'll just use version 7 or when I can get my hands on a working warez copy I will use that.

For me it's loading fast. But no it's not worth the upgrade. I did buy ps7 cause I liked it alot. But this the only real diff I'm noticing is a few new ways of viewing things (not a big deal) and the new load screens) Other then that it's not worth the money they want for it. Oh and yeah I hate the activation.

    • Microsoft admits one of the most crucial Outlook features is currently broken by Sayan Sen Microsoft is making some decent progress when it comes to Windows 11. Recently we have confirmed reports of some rather useful improvements landing in the next version of the OS, 26H2, wherein GPU driver TDR crashes may finally be fixed, plus the company is also allowing users to disable web content on the Search. On the Outlook front though things have not been so rosy. Last month in May we reported several problems affecting basic functionalities on the app. These included a problem where documents would open blank or corrupt themselves. Following that, Quick Steps, a very useful feature, would no longer work correctly, and finally, Microsoft acknowledged a problem wherein images would fail to load up properly inside the email. Microsoft had resolved those bugs later and almost exactly a month after we reported on them, the company has now admitted a new similarly basic issue, this time on Macs. Users recently started noticing that Outlook would no longer display email threads properly as the original message itself was not displayed. An affected user Tsoumpas, C (ngmb) nicely described the problem in a forum post they made on Microsoft's site. They wrote: "Description of the issue: After updating Outlook for Mac [Version 16.110 (26061317)] on 18/6/2026, replying to any email no longer includes the original message in the reply window. Prior to the update, replies correctly contained the original email text below my response. Expected behavior: The original message should be included in the reply, as in previous Outlook versions and according to the configured reply settings. Actual behavior: The reply window contains only a blank composition area (or only my response), with none of the original email text included." Obviously this must be a highly frustrating for users as noted by several in that thread. The post, at the time of writing, has also been upvoted by more than 40 users indicating that is a fairly widespread bug. Thankfully Microsoft seems to have acknowledged the problem right around that time as it opened a new issue on its official website. In the support article, the company recommends switching to Outlook for Mac from the legacy app, where the problem appears to be happening.
