FTP Server setup

Question

I'm setting up a server with a bunch of friends and I'm using WS FTP Server. My question is this:

Can I setup the server so it list each of my friends folders when people log into my server? Example:

When someone logs into my computer, they see my music folder, and my friends music folder, and my other friends music folder...etc..

Do I have to map a network drive or something? Can I do it only through FTP's ? I don't want us sharing our stuff on the network as we could get in trouble.

If there is any other software I need, or a different FTP program that will do this please let me know.

where are you friends?

on same network/lan?

if so then you can mount those dirs and network drives and/or create virtual dirs.

if they are elsewhere on the internet then look into Distributed FTP Daemon http://drftpd.mog.se/

that page explain how it works and list of ftp clients that support it.

I don't know bout that ftp... I prefer using BulletProof FTP Server (or Gene6 FTP Server)... BulletProof FTP Server can allow virtual directory links... and I love that functions... set up users based on the level that was given to group account and you change how the users have certain rights to certain folders right on the spot... it will have immediate affect.. so powerful and so neat...
