Surface Pro SSD

I'm curious. Is it known (NOT speculated) if the Surface Pro SSD can be upgraded by the end user? Or is it permanently installed or of a unique connector?

I'm almost certain that the SSD is soldered/integrated into the mobo and isn't upgradable. The microSD slot is all you get.

I am guessing it is not upgradable. The Surface RT wasn't. It takes quite a bit of effort to open up the device, and the 32GB storage is just chips soldered to the motherboard... it isn't even in a 'hard drive' form factor.

Thanks. RT wasn't an option because I need Java to run terminal emulation. Not convinced, just researching getting a new laptop device.
