Drying your clothes in the cooking oven

I've never heard of this O_O I'd be too afraid of catching them on fire. I've accidentally set fire to a dish towel when I was using it as a makeshift potholder--no way I would put fabric I cared about in there.

Radiators work, plus we have a gas oven.

Gas ovens are powered by fire.

Never! it sounds like one of the most unhygienic things ever. lol

I'd rather just hang my clothes out to dry either outside or on a radiator. And if I want to waste thousands of watts of energy.. I'd use a tumble dryer. xD

To answer the question, the majority of the time my oven is used for cooking pizzas. So no, I don't want my clothes smelling like pizza.

Set to say, 100 F, it should work. Just use a timer and check frequently. ;)

I've sometimes dried clothes, over a forced hot air heater vent. Works nicely.

and that would be the only good reason to put an item of clothing into an oven!

When I was a child and we had a slow combustion stove, yes. We used to fire it up and open the oven door to heat the kitchen! :D

Not in an electric or gas oven though.

I was a university student so yes I have. Partying all night and needing to dry your clothes before class. Boom oven
