Scratch Removal, a little success? after i hit a pole!

Recommended Posts

Now before i start, I know this isn't a permanent fix, there are some dents that need professional attention, the only reason i used this scratch remover is it was a cheap option to try and mask the damage as best i can, until after Christmas when i can afford the ?500 to fix it.

I used some G3 Scratch Remover Paste, there is still a bit of paint chipped off the door which will have to wait until i can afford a professional fix.

This took around 30mins in bad light, if i spend some more time carefully giving attention to all areas im sure it will look better,

It has done well to make the damage less obvious, now all i need to do is find ?500 :p

I am very happy with this product, however is there anything else you guys reckon someone like me could do to make it even better?

Many Thanks! x

If it's into the paint, it's not going to fix it.. if it's just the top/clear coat, those products will work, otherwise go to the dealer and get the exact color for your car, they can match it up, and it comes in a little pen type applicator..

The only scratch that has gone into the paint deeply is the little mark on the door lip there, you can see the silver metal underneath, would you say a pen will be sufficient or do i need to fill it first?!

Yep, here's what I did last year:

Paint over the scratch with thick enough layers of paint. Sand it down till it evens out, and then polish out the spot. If you're lazy just use a car detailing buffer and buff everything out with a filler type polish from your favorite car detailing store.

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates.
