Hi SharkFiNbowl,

I'm on Hong Kong Island in Midlevels, orignally from Australia, so a bit of a kid in a candy store with all the cool gear you can get here! :woot:

Send me a PM if you've got any more questions

Hey vault, I'm around the wan chai/midlevels area too!

thats a nice rig u got there Vault..

i want one of those keyboards though, where did u get urs from and what are they called? do they have a specific name?

let me know, thanks mate :)

Hi the_JOHN,

yeah they are sweet little keyboards. They are made by Benq, which is the "Funky" peripherals arm of Acer. Anyway, the keyboard is quite tactile - very much like the IBM Thinkpads keyboard, though a little smaller. Light as well - probably about 100-150 grams.

You can have a look at the "Mini Buddy" keyboard here at Benq's European site. I'm using a Benq mouse as well and the quality is top notch.

elfangor nice to see there are a few Hong Kong people on the board. I'll drop you a PM.

Here's mine... I need a bigger desk. I've got so much stuff on the floor and my CD's are all in my night table. It's a mess. I wish I had space for a corner desk but I gotta get mine custom made meaning I gotta build it myself and I still haven't gotten around to doing it :p

how much did it cost u Vault as i cannot seem to find anywhere in the UK that sell them

Cheap as chips actually! Bought it on a trip to Singapore and cost me S$50 which would work out to be about 25 euros if that helps your conversion. It should be about half the cost of a basic MS Internet keyboard for reference.

I had a bit of a look and I can't find anyone in the UK who has it available online.:pinch: Probably your best bet would be to ring up BenQ and ask them. The keyboard on the UK site has a great big flashing "New" next to it, so perhaps stock hasn't gone through the channel yet.

    • The level of stupidity at Google and Microsoft is beyond belief. All they are doing by killing this is forcing people to jump over to Firefox and ditch them all together, therefore giving Firefox the market boost it needs to finally crush them all in the end.

    • I think it might be behind the trailer park amusements?
