Its a Samsung 172w. I believe they've discontinued this model, but they a newer fancier version of it now.

Not bad, but I had to change the stock fans, take out the fan grill in the back and I also cut intake at the bottom of the case.

Well this is summer 2002/2003 before i moved out

this is almost after i moved in to my new "cave"

this is july/2003 brand new aoc 17" black (i have now samsung 753dfx but i coulndt get my hands on a digicam)

It's going to be a long while before my desktop beats some of em out there, but in the meanwhile, who has a MX500 like me?!?! No one! Well maybe someone... I got bored and switched the LED earlier today. I hope someone other than me appreciates it!

Look on the bright side... You, in a way, can't ruin it just by changing the LED. You can flat out cut the LED out and the mouse will still function perfectly. This was actually my very first attempt at soldering ever, it was a messy job, but as you can see, I pulled it off. I figured, hell, if I ruin it... no biggie, I'm waiting for the MX1000 to come out anyhow.
