What kind of LED did you use?

RadioShack 5mm 3.7 volt - 20mA - 2600mcd

didn't know how it was going to work out, but it's beautiful. I'm going to order bulk online because I'm going to be custom modding cases/keyboards/mice in the near future. This was just one of many test runs to come. I'm doing all 4 green LED's on my keyboard next. Just have to get more LED's.

Those are pretty interesting set-ups, and machines you have there man! :D

Alright... I finally think I have something to add to this thread, so here goes...

My workstation consists of:

21 inches of CRT goodness!

Shuttle SB51G

DI-614+Wireless Router

Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

Lexmark X75 AIO

Stereo is hidden in the cabinet, along with my cable modem, and the speakers are under the desk.

Sure, it's a little dirty and messy. Maybe when I clean things up a little better tomorrow, I will post some more pictures.

LoL, ya. My pentium II 300mhz computer actually used to be: Pentium II 266mhz, 96mb of ram, 6 gb hard drive and Windows 98 SE but I put more ram in it, a new video card, new hard drive and then I overclocked it last night so it's great. The laptop, well, I'm waiting for it to die so I have a excuse to get one :p. Long live my Hp though, lol

It's going to be a long while before my desktop beats some of em out there, but in the meanwhile, who has a MX500 like me?!?! No one! Well maybe someone... I got bored and switched the LED earlier today. I hope someone other than me appreciates it!

How did you do that? I wish I could have that Blue LED on my MX-510.

nX07, wow, that's far too too many (over 10MB!) even for broadbanders. We really don't need to see your Flash manual ... nice wheel though, I have the same one :) If you're going to post that many pictures, perhaps all but an overview one should be links?

I should probably do another shot now that I've got a new monitor.

OK, here it is. My hardware is getting increasingly like Dazzla's (purely by coincidence!). Same di Nova keyboard set, now the same Dell 2001FP monitor and I think he also has a nice coolermaster case. Here's the updated one - I'd like to put another monitor on my main rig but there's no room really. I might remove the crappy old TV and put a 2nd monitor there with an Avermedia TVBox 9 so it doubles as a TV, but it means that it's in an awkward place for a 2nd monitor.

Anyway, here it is. Again, I hope there's no incriminating stuff and only some, reasonably subtle product placement ;) (click for hires picture):

Hmm... I agree with you Quboid! LoL -- I'll resize em down really small now :D

EDIT: It seem's that the "edit" button is gone? I can't edit that page, so I had to shirnk down the files themselves :(

About the wheel, I love it! What about yourself? Any problems or such?

It's actually extremely easy. I'm going to be buying 10-15 MX1000's when they come out to switch the LED's to whatever someone wants them to be. For a slight price, probably charge 5-10$ extra. I'll be selling them, along with custom cases I'm working on right now here on Neowin.

umm.. Logitech MX1000 doesn't have any leds..

I'm off to the big U this Saturday, so I get to setup a brand new Workstation. Nothing has really changed, in fact nothing. The cat wouldn't move.

    • The level of stupidity at Google and Microsoft is beyond belief. All they are doing by killing this is forcing people to jump over to Firefox and ditch them all together, therefore giving Firefox the market boost it needs to finally crush them all in the end.
