heh, I'm a programmer for home-theater control systems...

The setup on my desk (50" plasma,37" LCD, and the rack on the left) is going away some-time early decemebter - it's a guys "game room".

The "blue" thing in question is an AMX MVP-8400 wireless touchpannel. They are pretty sexy, they can do VNC and all kinds of stuff.

That is exactly what I was getting at.

Plastic in the middle would just be the most annoying thing.

I don't see why people think this. Having two monitors is just like having three, just without the third one. I have a monitor in front of me that I use for my primary monitor, and then I have one to my left that I move stuff to when I need more space. How is this a bad thing?

That is one of the Solution Series, not Lanboy - http://www.antec.com/us/pro_en_solution.html

Here is mine. Sorry about the multiple shots and the VERY poor quality, it is all due to the webcam being my only means of taking a photo all of a sudden...

(There is also a printer under the desk and no I haven't cleaned it... I just ate what was on it :D )

Hehe, seriously. That is for the scren cleaner (see below; white with green top). I swear.

And a reason why I can tell you that is all it is for... It has puppies on the toilet roll. Andrex puppies. That would be wrong man!

probably just older and therefore make more money than you and I.  i give myself a few more years before i can afford the l33t hardware

Well, I know that of course- I am only 15! How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

Well, once I get a job I will do much better than I am now... a couple things I got on my own that were fairly expensive purchases... the biggest probably being my Palm Tungsten C ($499 when I got it). I wish I had a job... but none of the places around here hire under 16... even with a permit. :(

only 19 here :)

wait til my 2nd screen comes in and then the lcd tv from dell ima hang it all on the wall and have total ownage

I am 20 and I am holding out. My advice: If you are as unhappy at home as I was then move out asap (just turned 16 for me), but if you want great stuff, then spend that extra year or two working and living at home, then blow all your money on rent and taxes, or it gets really hard to buy nice rigs etc.

yeah it's hard for me to spend money on electronics. even though I still live at home, I had to pay for my own tuition and own a car. The car sucks up a lot of my cash and so does the GF; not that I mind, but I'd really like to own some high end sh*t  heh.

    • Microsoft now allows you to tweak Visual Studio to new extremes by Usama Jawad Visual Studio 2026 recently netted a powerful feature that finally allows developers to review Git Pull Requests (PRs) directly in the integrated development environment (IDE), without needing to switch to the browser. However, that's not all that Microsoft introduced in the latest version, as it also offered a useful way to customize the IDE to their heart's content. Although Visual Studio 2026 already provides lots of stock themes based on Fluent Design principles, Microsoft understands that people still want to customize them further according to their preferences. The IDE now offers a new configuration page for themes under Tools > Options > Environment > Visual Experience > Theme colors. This allows you to set hex color codes for accent colors, hover states, and more, and apply them without requiring a restart. The Redmond tech giant further says that: Microsoft is also offering granular color tokens that allow you to customize various UX elements like the tab header without impacting the rest of the shell chrome. Your themes are also stored in JSON format in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\18.0_xxxxxxxx\ColorThemes, which basically enables you to share it with others or override existing themes. This is a major improvement in terms of the user experience powering these customization capabilities. This is because extensions were required to replace the theme, and it was not very easy to make minor adjustments. This theme configuration UX solves this problem and is available in Visual Studio 2026 version 18.7, available here.
