There is a difference. Your desk is regular rectangular shaped. His is L shaped. I believe optimal postition is set at the left and the right of the person.

ok, here is my scary desk area... Cord management is lacking right now, but I just moved it into the bedroom... Sorry about the bad resolution, older 2.1MP camera, its gonna replaced soon, the wife wants something to take better photos with. :)

ok, thats just tooo weird... we have the same stripping (or whatever its called) around the base of the wall, different rug color though.... I have the hutch on the floor for now... it was taking up to much desk space :) Also, I think the worst part of this desk, is trying to get the sections flush with each other... never seems to work just right... grrr

Oh, and does anyone wanna PM me on how I am supposed to setup my speakers?

woah, at first i look at ur desk, and thought "wheres your monitor and cords?"

but then i saw it on the side and wireless mouse and keyboard

sorry to say but i dislike all your guys' uber clean desks. it is just too unnatural.

it doesnt look homey

I see you have a HP Omnibook 6000 ... just had to decomission 2k of those damn things. You had any problems with yours and the screen hinges? Loads of the ones I picked up had the screens dropping out.

    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
