I have a glass desk as well and in no way do I regret getting it.  I think it looks more sleek and it isn't as big a deal as IK says it is.

It does look very sleep, thats why I bought it. I guess its not as bad as I said it is.

Glass Desks look cool but I'd imagine finger prints, smudges etc would be annoying.

Id also think twice about thowing my wallet down it

Also, You have to use a ugly mouse pad :(

They are annoying.

but not expensive?

IK .:. 47, you should mount one of those monitors up on the wall, and have a central monitor. Sort of in an upside down T, like that funky tetris piece. I was thinking of getting a 4th monitor, but A) It was a waste of money, and B) It was 100% pointless. I do a lot of programming now and that's why I have it set up the way I do, however, I recently converted the leftmost monitor to a linux box so it's no longer 3 screens on 1 machine. No matter how sexy it looks, it was 1 big waste.

One thing I am glad about, I didn't waste as much money as you IK, hahaha poor soul. BTW, do you even have all 4 monitors hooked up? I skipped a few pages and last I saw only 2 monitors were running.

^^  I use windex spray.

Once my desk is clean, it looks pro.

But a minute later, you see dust particles on the desk.

Thats what annoys me.

but, what can you do right?

its all good.

I use the spray too, but for slight touch ups I use the wipes. But then it doesn't look right with part of it being clean so I have to do the whole desk. And yea, mine gets dusty instantly too. That part sucks, but I like having glass overall. :)

well at least i know IK 47 and "candyshop" may have a bunch of monitors but cant take pictures worth a dime. Maybe they should sell one and get some photography lessons.

I agree with you 108% When I take pictures with my dad's nikon, they all turn out nice though. Its just with this stupid sony that they come out all unfocused and with bad lighting. 80mm forever!!

I agree with you 110%

well...

a. mousepads are NOT ugly if you get a *real* mousepad. not some ratpadz bs or sumthin. go for either a steelpad s&s or qpad xxxl lowsense. or, if you like pure cloth and not hybrids or plastic, you can get the steelpad qck+

b. all those ppl saying "does a mousepad make such a difference". YES YES YES YES YES! without a mousepad i would be driven made by the inaccuracy and as well by the NOISE! just try out a steelpad s&s with a good mouse and some skatez... i promise you that you will be amazed by the difference! if something happened to my steelpad i would seriously commit suicide :p

oh ye, and its worth mentioning that almost ALL pro gamers use steelpad s&s's. these include sk-gaming, astralis, d-skyline, alternate attax, mouzesports, pcg, Skolpojkarna, pentragram.cnn, 3d, D!E, MIBR. the only two pro teams i know of who dont use them are EYEBALLERS and NoA (who recently won cpl winter) they use qpads and x-ray pads respectively.

i cant believe how many people here dont use pads. its blasphemy. you cant call urself anything in computing without a decent pad  and ppl spend so much on mouses, the least you could do is to let the mouses be accurate!

BUY MOUSEPADS!!!

soz for all the banging on, just really does make a massive diff.

omg scraggles!

I only bought them because you told me too!

remember not too long ago I pmed you about it?

then you said it was good?

omg, $2300 down the drain...

Im definately thrwoing these away.

Maybe you should've used your head?

Hello,

I really admire your 3 LCD setup, and was wondering how to go about and get myself one.  Just wondering,,

What type of graphics cards do you need to support 3 monitors?

Do you get good performance in games?

Is your setup on Analogue or DVI?

What size monitor is the best?

Currently, I own a 17" dell ultrasharp, and am thinking of either getting a 2001FP or two more 17" ones.

Thanks,

IK

Thanks. I use 2 video cards. Both are GeForce FX5200's. One AGP, which one monitor is plugged into, and the second has the other two plugged in, which is PCI. The whole setup is analogue. I'd say if your going to get any other LCD's go straight for BenQ. BenQ is the company that manufactures dell LCD's.

I don't get good performance on games, because the card I use for games sucks. I'm going to be upgrading it to a 6800 ultra at the end of this month.

Oh okay,

So all i have to do is a buy a pci graphics card? good. Thanks for your help.

IK

585327140

I agree!!! I love that desk... and the cleanliness of your setup! :D

585327163

Love your setup FatCat. It reminds me of mine only better and less cluttered.

585327619

Cool desk, I'm tempted by a nice glass desk. Could be my next purchase...

585328200

thanks guys :)

I have this desk http://www.officemax.com/max/solutions/pro...ckOID=537078873

I wasn't expecting to find anything nice at Officemax but the desk spoke to me it was perfect. It does get kinda dusty but I have this nice cotten cloth I had with my glasses it takes the dust off with one swipe I don't have to spend a lot of time scrubbing. And yes the holes on the keyboard and mouse thing (what ever you call it) sucks I tried putting a piece of paper underneath twice but ended up picking up a really thin mouse pad. Most importantly the table was so simple to put toghether.

This maintenance-focused release includes bug fixes, updated translations, and a range of safe enhancements. This release fixes a Windows security issue that could allow arbitrary file deletion during privileged cleaning (reported by Zeze with TeamT5). It also adds new cleaners (including a DNS cache cleaner, Claude Code, and Visual Studio Code forks), support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles, new deep scan options for developer directories like node_modules and venv, and safer, faster file shredding. All Platforms Added cleaners for Claude Code, DNS cache, and many Visual Studio Code forks. Added support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles. Chrome can now clean downloaded AI models. Deep Scan can optionally remove venv, __pycache__, node_modules, and .angular directories. Deep Scan is faster by skipping directories on the keep list. File shredding is safer, faster, and leaves fewer recoverable traces. Improved handling of cookies, symlinks, Unicode filenames, external processes, and configuration files. Improved Expert Mode warnings and long warning dialogs. Fixed crashes related to cleaner detection, invalid Unicode, and malformed cleaner data. Clipboard is now cleared automatically after shredding files via paste operations. Linux Added AppImage support. Fixed Wayland root CLI issues and several Snap-related problems. Improved package dependencies, AppStream metadata, and desktop file handling. Fixed startup crashes when Python Requests is unavailable. Windows Fixed a security vulnerability that could allow arbitrary file deletion when cleaning with elevated privileges. Added %WindowsSystem% variable support. Improved clipboard clearing using native Windows APIs. Improved installer experience on unsupported Windows versions. Reduced installer size and improved application robustness. Fixed Unicode handling, filename anonymization, Git revision reporting, and splash screen stability. • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
