that is EXACTLY how my workstation would look like if I actually bought all my games like you. :)

seriously man, ever heard of bittorrent?

must be nice actually owning all your games though.  I wish I could afford doing that.

There the same as the black ones, BUT the silver came first. :) Its by logitech, I think there the 5300.

Logitech Z-5300E 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System (6-Piece) - Black

But silver...

My speakers started poping recently under my bestbuy warrenty, so I got them replaced again, but right after I did they came out with the black ones, the black looks sweet. :-/. Im soo close to damaging one of my speakers to get it replaced again to get the black. "My headphone plug doesn't work! I need a new setup! And we can't just replace the connector, its a different color! I need a new one! ;)."

I have attached an update of my workstation, my box, my plasma, and my newest addition, my Sapphire X850XT PE below.  :D  :D Just waiting on the PCI-E board to come from a crappy company who sends my stuff a week after they take $2000 of my money.   But on a light note, kudos to the card.  :woot:

Dude, we have the exact same desk. I guess someone out there likes it too.

How come your plasma is reflective?

This desk is great, except I had a few problems with the keyboard slider when I first got it, only came anout 1/4 of the way out.

My Plasma is reflective because its an NEC 42" PlasmaSync Multimedia Panel. The picture on it is incredible though. See below. :)

Monsters Inc. on PlasmaSync

is that a friggin LCD just sitting there being unused!?

585394110

No way man, I use it for Movies... lots of movies... great widescreen racing and FPS and... my Austar Digital. :D Trust me, it gets plenty of use. :D:D

plasma would be awesome if you didnt have to worry about their life expentancy being so low

that being said, i would still love to have one over my dinky 27" CRT TV from 4 years ago, especially an NEC one, one of my favorite display manufacturers.

I got a 6 year warranty on parts and labour with my Plasma, I expect to have something new in 6 years so its good enough for me. :)

dinky 27 inch moinitor?!?!?

Well, if you added up the value of all my downloaded games and software...

30x PSone games = $30 x 30 = $900

49 Xbox games (Just the ones currently on the HDD, I had much more before) = $70 = 43 = $3010

10 PC games = $30= 1- = $300

Photoshop, MX suite 2004, office 2003 and 2004, and almost every software I own = over $2000

add tax and you are sitting in the $7141 chair.

I dont have $7141.

someone hit the banned button for such pompousity.

wow i didnt even notice ik47 was listing crap he DIDNT buy. Thats pretty friggin selfish to go out and buy 4x2005fpw, two of which are NOT being used, and then steal almost every piece of software you own. Real ace.

585398941

Those aren't 2005fpw's, they are 17 inch LCD's.

Arg, gaming on a plasma  When I worked for Dell I took my setup over there (3200+, 9800Pro, 1GB Kingston Hyper X) and I tried playing COD on a 42" and it lagged so bad. Took my same S-Vid cable and plugged it into the Dell 30" LCD TV and it was much quicker resounce. The game was virtually unplayable on the plasma. Great for movies and desktop work though. (Y)

well now i feel slightly retarded, i could have sworn he had 4x2005fpws (thought him and candyshop had same setup)... Still pretty whack not to buy your games, but at least he didnt spend 2k and then not buy any games. Sorry bout the mess up ik47

How long ago and what Plasma? I admit, Plasma as a technology can be pretty Laggy however, when I compared my NEC with an LG, Samsung, and Phillips (yes all Side by Side), my NEC came out on top. If you get a chance you should try it on an NEC PlasmaSync, I think you'll find whatever was ailing your previous Plasma isnt the same as that. I play Doom 3, UT2K4, Unreal 2, EQ2, NFSU2, and NWN on my Plasma without any issues (and I own all of my games and have Boxes, Serial Numbers, and barcodes to prove it. ;)

Id like to know what make and model you were trying it on, I'd like to compare. :)

    • Can you read? I've said I'm willing to pay more for a notchless (no notch) 3:2 screen.
    • Not even an OLED display on the laptops. Also it seems that the laptop design isn't the same as the Surface Ultra model. Looks like bargain bin at high prices.
    • make your own notch - it's not that hard
    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
