i may have the same tv as you, if you go in the menu, and set the audio to surround, and enable bbe, it does make a very noticable difference (in particular in dvd's)

Supposedly that's what the SRS does, don't think an ipod has it

srs and bbe are trademark typse of sonic maximizers.

Oftern they work but stopping the speaker from pushing out frequencies you cant hear and focusing them more in the audible range. Giving a percieved increase in sound when it's actually the same wattage just focused where you can hear.

Or atleast thats what i understand of them.

Well, I was looking at my old HP 466 MHz Celeron today, and realized I could sell it. Popped it open began taking off heatsink, removing things etc. Then I realized "Hey I wonder if could fit this mini atx in my old case." And yeah, it did surprisingly HP was not as proprietary as I originally took them as. So now my plan is, just get some cheap pc100 256, throw in it there. Along with a new heatsink for the celeron, and a new powersupply (powersupply will not fit at all in old Raidmax case), then put in my 2nd 40 gig HDD. Nothing big, just a downloading machine to sit next to my main rig.  :D

Edit: Threw in my old GeForce 4 MX 420.

Why don't u people take more pride in the systems u build even if they are cheap garbage systems

It's not that Microsoft is bad.  They have nice innovative designs and #1 tech support.

But

Logitech products, although more expensive, have higher quality builds and have features not offered by microsoft.  Their tech support is pretty damn good too.

A standard Intellimouse Explorer 4.0 retails for $28, while an mx510 goes for $48.

The mx510 is much more accurate and responds to acceleration better.  It also has handy cruise control buttons (you may not like them, but I do!).

If you don't believe me, go to futureshop and try both.  You will see then.

I will, thanks. I'm not normally one for luxuries, but a good mouse is usually worth the investment!

Yes, I know.

But I haven?t here very much space on my desk. And with a Mac and a PC you have to keep two computers up to date. That?s too much effort. I?m a lazy person.&nbs:D :D&nbs;) ;)

well, interphase peripherals are important, as people use them more and more.

Invest in a good one such as the new mx518 or mx1000

If you can find a cheap mx510 or mx700 (cheap = <$30) , grab that.

Or, if you want a wireless desktop, go for either the mx3100 or the mx duo.

Got some new goodies for my iMac G5

Very nice. I personally don't prefer those speakers, as they are quite tall, however thay seem very nice the way you have set them.

hopefully you have a x86 laptop?

Yes, I know.

That's not a really good solution. A laptop is a better investment. I spent over $600 on my xbox. I should have not.

Wow, thats just beautiful:yes:es:

Question: What is that silver thing in the bottom left corner of pics 1 and 2?

585493992[/snapback]

Subwoower maybe?

I really tried to like this thread. But it is kinda hard, you know, with at least one guy quoting EVERY SINGLE IMAGE DAZZLA HAD IN HIS LAST POST on every page. Please, at least convert the tags from IMG to URL.

Ok, im tired of people complaining. If you don't like it, choose the neowin lite mode.

I am using the Neowin Lite mode.

And seriously, man, "n00b" ? What a laugh.

    • Ocenaudio 3.19.3 by Razvan Serea Ocenaudio is a full featured, fast and easy to use audio and music editor. It is the ideal software for people who need to edit and analyze audio files without complications. Ocenaudio also has powerful features that will please more advanced users. To assist ocenaudio development, a powerful toolset of audio editing, analysis and manipulation called Ocen Framework was created. ocenaudio is also based on Qt framework, a well known library for cross-platform development. Cross-platform support ocenaudio is available for all major operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Native applications are generated for each platform from a common source, in order to achieve excelent performance and seamless integration with the operating system. All versions of ocenaudio have a uniform set of features and the same graphical interface, so the skills you learn in one platform can be used in the others. VST plugins support Ocenaudio supports VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plugins, giving its users access to numerous effects. Like the native effects, VST effects can use real-time preview to aide configuration. Real-time preview of effects Applying effects such as EQ, gain and filtering is an important part of audio editing. However, it is very tricky to get the desired result by adjusting the controls configuration alone: you must listen the processed audio. To ease the configuration of audio effects, ocenaudio has a real time preview feature: you hear the processed signal while adjusting the controls. The effect configuration window also includes a miniature view of the selected audio signal. You can navigate on this miniature view in the same way as you do on the main interface, selecting parts that interest you and listening to the effect result in real time. Multiselection for delicate editions To speed up complex audio files editing, ocenaudio includes multi-selection. With this amazing tool, you can simultaneously select different portions of an audio file and listen, edit or even apply an effect to them. For example, if you want to normalize only the excerpts of an interview where the interviewee is talking, just select them and apply the effect. Eficient edition of large files With ocenaudio, there is no limit to the length or the quantity of the audio files you can edit. Using an advanced memory management system, the application keeps your files open without wasting any of your computer's memory. Even in files several hours long, common editing operations such as copy, cut or paste happen almost instantly. Fully featured spectrogram Besides offering an incredible waveform view of your audio files, ocenaudio has a powerful and complete spectrogram view. In this view, you can analyze the spectral content of your audio signal with maximum clarity. Advanced users will be surprised to find that the spectrogram settings are applied in real time. The display is updated immediately when altering features such as the number of frequency bands, window type and size and dynamic range of the display.
