I can't remember where I got it, Scan I think. Or Ebuyer. Mine is a mess to atm, so I have put the window against the table leg *ingenious*

I prefer the 'mess' look to the *table with pc on looking clean affect* :D

are those "happy hacker" keyboards? if so... awesome :woot:

Dude, that CD-RW! I haven't seen one of those in years! Is it an original? I used to have one, one of my first CD-RWs. Oh the memories.

It's an HP CD-Writer 8200e. It's not the original HP external series (those were in the 9000s). I got it refurbished for $50 at Sears a long time ago. The laptop only has a DVD-ROM drive, and I needed to burn. I know, it sucks; I'm going to build a new box this summer (I have almost enough money for everything). The LCD is actually the first component of the new setup.

So you were using your laptop as your main computer? If that's so, same here. I'm also gonna build a new PC this summer...

Yeah, I had to until last summer, then I built a 3200 rig with a 5700ULTRA and then added the one in my sig to the mix for the new year.

As for the burner, I would love one of those again, for nostalga (sp?). It was a fine burner in it's day. I hear mine is still going strong (my mate has it) so it shows the build quality.

    • I totally disagree. Very little good comes out of governments all around the world manipulating everything they can and usually the people are not the benefactors. What you say about being restricted and expensive sounds almost like the arguments against firearms and why banning them will protect people as if making something illegal somehow will prevent the criminals from having and using them. AI being far less mainstream could simply mean the average person will not benefit, but "big brother" and the corporations will benefit, which is almost for sure NOT a good thing.

    • "connect with audiences" is the most obvious corporate speak you can think of. I only bought Need for Speed from EA because it was the only racing game with cops in existence and I dig that. Now that they killed off NFS franchise, I have nothing to spend money on. EA is officially dead for me, just like Ubisoft which I've been boycotting for some 20 years now...
