Does it bother you when internet memes go mainstream?

When my mom completely seriously asked me if something Asian she was looking at in a fashion magazine was like that "Gangbang style" thing I stopped liking internet stuff going mainstream.

meme's are horribly geeky and excruciatingly cringeworthy. So yes, it bothers me when they go into the mainstream because I hate seeing them. It reminds me that there's still a lot of people out there who have shockingly embarrassing senses of humour! Because 99% of memes aren't even humorous let alone funny.

Nope, what bothers me is this trolling face / I'm trolling crap. Most over used thing on the Internet, and quite frankly it's getting a little tire some.

It's just an excuse for being pretty thick and un-educated.

DERP, TROLL... HUURRRR... no, just no.

I don't mind when a funny video goes mainstream, but what bugs me to no end is when you have professionals in the media quoting, and/or reporting on internet culture spawn of 12 year olds. This includes, but is not limited to creations of users from memegenerator, 9gag, and reddit. 4chan is actually very mature in their selection of humour, so Anon is excluded from this criteria.
