What mods are those for your desktops? Rainmeter? If so, what themes?

The widgets are from rainmeter, alright. I'm using vcloud glasses skin (for the weather widget since the actual vcloud weather widget isn't consistent on updates), omnimo (vast majority of widgets on my desktop are based on this skin/theme), i2 bar (widget that displays my resources), and gnomemeter (feeds). As for the dock app, it's objectdock

XP with Omnimo based Rainmeter desktop theme and Black 2 Windows XP based window and menu and visual styles theme under the EX2008 full theme pack. Start Killer has been used to delete the start button from the XP task bar, which has been moved to Object Dock as shown. All docks and task bar are set to auto hide. Start menu is launched with a custom Windows 8 icon with see through boundaries.

Rocket Dock to the right and ObjectDock along the bottom. Tiles of Omnimo are very innately configurable. However, to achieve the meter colors, some manual text editing of the Rainmeter skins for the tiles was required. The colors of the meter readouts were changed from gray to the orange color shown for this setup. Setup also employs Dexpot multiple desktops...

Layered over the Rainmeter desktop is the Windows 8 Transformation Pack which includes super amazing boot skin, welcome screen, and sound theme. Live tiles can be created for applications and default ones may be added for time, weather, and a number of other features. There is a pull down screen also, which is not shown in this picture due to size requirements for the image.

This setup is set up to load into the Windows 8 Transformation sliding start screen on start up. All in all the setup uses 2-4% of processor resources on a 2.13 GHz 4 GB RAM core2duo system. All software is freeware and freely distributed on the internet.

Please feel free to ask if you would like to know more about how to set up this kind of desktop.

Sorry for the hugeness:

I like it clean and simple! Vertical space ftw. This is 1600x900 on my 13" laptop display (matte, almost full AdobeRGB) - on weekdays I connect my laptop to a Dell U2412M (24", 1920x1200 IPS).

I would use OSX on my laptop, but WiFi doesn't work in it. It's the only thing that doesn't work so it's a bit of a shame.

Can I have a link to your wallpaper? Thanks! :)

Tadaa! It's the default wallpaper for the 2013 Xperia's. Since some of them have 1080p displays you can easily use them as PC wallpapers!

No offense, but how in the heck do you get any work done on that?

    • I just looked on my computer and there are settings and log files for utilities I have never even turned on!
    • O&O ShutUp10 3.1.1104 by Razvan Serea O&O ShutUp10 offers a simple yet effective way to take control of your Windows privacy. It provides access to almost 50 privacy-related tweaks, most of them hidden or not easily accessible to the average computer users. Using a very simple interface, you decide how Windows 10/11 should respect your privacy by deciding which unwanted functions should be deactivated. Using ShutUp10 you can easily disable Windows Defender, turn off telemetry, disable peer-to-peer updates, turn off Wi-Fi Sense, disable automatic Windows updates, turn off and reset Cortana and more. ShutUp10 allows you to create a System Restore point before you apply any changes, so that you can revert your system at any time if you run into problems. O&O ShutUp10 is entirely free and does not have to be installed – it can be simply run directly and immediately on your PC. And it will not install or download retrospectively unwanted or unnecessary software, like so many other programs do these days! O&O ShutUp10 Free and Premium The latest version brings O&O ShutUp10 Premium, expanding the app’s long-standing privacy controls with automatic enforcement of user-defined settings. Instead of manually rechecking options after every Windows update, users can set their preferred privacy configuration once—or apply recommended settings in a single click—and the tool continuously monitors them in the background. If Windows 10 or 11 re-enables disabled features or introduces new data collection paths, Premium restores the chosen settings automatically without user intervention. The free version remains available and fully functional for manual adjustments, offering the same core privacy controls for Windows. However, the Premium tier is aimed at users who want long-term, hands-off protection, adding automatic reapplication after updates, ongoing monitoring, and optional notifications to ensure privacy settings remain consistent over time. • Fascinating...W h i t e P o w e r is now also asterisks out.
    • In the past few days I have noticed two odd moderation activities. First, when I posted the term 'White Nationist Christian' it was asterisk's out. When I changed it to **** it was allowed! Second, in the Politics is a ###business thread I was allowed to post that the GOP is a party of p e d ophiles but I was censored  when I posted the GOP are a party of p e d ophile protectors. Wtf Neowin. Please explain.
