Glassed Silver
I'm biased being German and a fan of VW, but I'd go with the Passat, too. Glassed Silver:mac Arceles 1 Share

pes2013
The only "but" with the Passat is the insurance. Might be high for a first time driver.
*RedBull*
VW of the choices.
pes2013
BTW, since I see everyone in love with VM........ That used car has 160 000 - 169 999 kms; If that means anything to anyone and changes their mind...
Jason S. Global Moderator Posted January 2, 2013 Global Moderator Share Posted January 2, 2013 having that many kms on it would sway my decision. Im fairly sure my sister has the Opel Vectra. seems like a nice car, but idk anything about Opel
Glassed Silver
Skoda maybe then. It's basically a VW, since Skoda is a VW brand. Glassed Silver:win
pes2013
Damn, I think the Passat got sold :( What would be the second choice?

pes2013
having that many kms on it would sway my decision. Im fairly sure my sister has the Opel Vectra. seems like a nice car, but idk anything about Opel That one has 129.000 Kms on it. Remember that this is first time used car; In a few years I HOPE to upgrade to something newer and better. Skoda maybe then. It's basically a VW, since Skoda is a VW brand. Glassed Silver:win The Skoda has 100 000 - 109 999 kms
Glassed Silver
100k seems fair enough to me for a first car especially if you want to move on to the next car in a "few years" anyways. YMMV depending on how much and under which conditions you need to drive though. :) Glassed Silver:win
Nashy
Toyota or the Ford. The rest are rubbish IMO. (Mechanical workshop manager in Australia) Crisp 1 Share
Crisp
Either the Mondeo or the Avensis. Where are you from, Spain? 2L will damage your pockets. I personally find the build quality of Vauxhalls to be naff.
Nothing Here
I also say the Passat.

Nothing Here
I believe the Passat got sold. Second choice? Well, depending on the mileage of the Skoda, that would be my second. I have a friend in London who has one.

Chicane-UK Veteran Posted January 4, 2013 Veteran Share Posted January 4, 2013 I drive a Skoda Octavia (VRS) and it's fantastic. As a happy customer, I'd gladly recommend one to any potential purchaser. Nothing Here 1 Share

]SK[
Passat. I agree though the arse is ugly. I prefer the Passat CC for that reason. Audi A4 isn't an option?
watkinsx2
I think the Saab looks the best out of them but buying with my head I would go for the Skoda.

cork1958
Toyota or the Ford. The rest are rubbish IMO. (Mechanical workshop manager in Australia) Being an American, I'd agree with this post!! Even at that, I'd go with the Ford, even though that's not one of Fords better cars either. Personally, I'd start my list all over!!
