hello everyone!

I have a question about motherboard and CPU.

I see that motherboard's stocket and CPU stocket must be match, right?

here is the link:

does it make you sense?

Thanks,

I understand, because I want to play star wars: the old republic on new computer soon.

Sorry to say but you wont be playing SWTOR on this computer.

It's a poorly coded game that require a fairly good computer.

When i played the game i had a Core I5 750 overclocked with a XFX 6950 xxx and 4GB of ram and i could barely run the game at 1650x1080 resolution. It was playable but not totally smooth i actually had to turn some settings down.

You could probably get along with the A4 (not sure can't find reviews of it) but this card is surely way too weak for SWTOR.

If you can't afford a proper gpu maybe you could try to spend that 40$ on improving the APU. Maybe a A8-5600k could be playable at low res and low settings. Don't forget that the A serie of APUs comes with an entry level gpu. Adding an entry level dedicated gpu is mostly a waste of money.

this laptop is really slow due to 4GB RAM memory card. I see memory 95 percent on my task manager. it is very bad! that why I will get 8GB RAM memory card for new PC. I use that game on window-mode.

So you will be building a new desktop PC to play games like the Old Republic on, in windowed mode? What is the total amount you are wanting to spend?

I cannot stress enough the importance of a better GPU.

Your laptop is unlikely slow due to 4gb of ram. It is likely not powerful enough. Like i said SWTOR is a poorly coded game.

I actually have 4GB of RAM and i can get playable performance in all my games at max settings (670OC with my good old i5 750 overcloked). 8GB would maybe help for some games but not much.

The gpu is where you need to put the money. Without a good one you wont get good results. For SWTOR anything under a 7850 will disappoint you.

If you build a 500$ PC check this guide.

I see that hard drive says 320 GB on that website, so I will get 500 GB hard drive.

Well you don't have to build the exact same PC ;) It's a guideline on how much you should spend for each part. If you can find better for the same price then it's only good.

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates. Diagram faster with keyboard shortcuts. draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 changelog: Uses electron 42.5.0 #2452 Updates to draw.io core 30.2.6.
