Current AutoPatcher XP Information and Download

Recommended Posts

I apologize for the inconvenient, my FTP is down at the moment.

I'm not at home. Ive been working on it remotely, but I cant seem to find my drive now.

I will be leaving work in 30 mins, as soon as I get home, I will work on it so I can have it up.

edit: Managed to bring drive up, FTP is up and running, if you notice any problem, please wait until I get home so I can work on it. Have fun :D

btw: Flish and Raptor. Once again you have made neowin members happy with the latest APXP release. :D

Before I forget, I also wanted to mention that the APXP site looks great, great work.

To those of you trying to login 2x with the same IP, you wont be able to. I gotta allow other people to get the file.

And if you try to connect 3 times within 30 secs, you will automatically be banned, you dont want that, do you?

The banned will be automatically removed.

Thanks

Blah, well I've tried for quite some time now to make some torrents for you guys, but they never seem to work right.. had someone that I know has done in the past try for me, and still no dice... I guess I'm a failure... I'll keep trying unless someone else gets one going then I"ll just seed. Cya later everyone.

I'm not sure whether I should post it here, but I've got 2 questions.

1) Why are some updates removed from autopatcherXP? Are the patches included in the new updates?

I.E. from the change log:

"** Deleted Following Items:

-- Q822603_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe

-- WindowsXP-KB833998-x86-ENU.EXE

..."

2) In Pre-SP2 Critical list (of lastest April release) there are the boxes "Blaster removal patch" and the "Sasser removal patch". Will these 2 only "patch-up" my system once when I install them and won't create any Start menu, Uninstall menu entries? (I mean they are only patches like the updates or go as separate tools/programs, like the "Mydoom/doomjuice removal tool"?)

1) files included in older patches are often updated in newer patches, so including the older patches would be redundant and unnecessary.

2) those two are just removal tools. they don't install, they only run and scan for the two viruses (and remove them if necessary.)

So they are tools as well? They don't block those viruses/trojans after I run them once and only check the comp at the time of execution?

those specific files don't block the virus(es) from infecting you in the future, but later in the AP installation the patches that DO protect you are installed.

Torrent files for Full, Update and Lite are created.

I dont have UltraLite, as soon as I get the file I will create a torrent file for it, unless someone wants to create it (I wont complaint) :p

I'm seeding all three files at the moment, plus hosting it on my server.

Whoever wants to help seeding, will be welcome :D

    • Alien Isolation 2 will bring a new protagonist and setting, watch the reveal trailer here by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Only a few weeks ago, Sega and Creative Assembly dropped a teaser for a new Alien Isolation. Today at Summer Game Fest, Alien: Isolation 2 was officially announced with a new trailer while also confirming a whole lot of information about the setting of this survival horror project. Check out the reveal trailer above. Leaving behind the Sevastopol space station, the sequel will take players to a remote colony world. With a Xenomorph (or more) on the loose, players will be navigating both the surface of the weather-ravaged planet as well as "the claustrophobic confines of the Weyland-Yutani outpost of Kurosaki Station." Interestingly, Creative Assembly is leaving behind Amanda Ripley, the daughter of Alien's Ellen Ripley, as the protagonist too. While it hasn't confirmed a name yet, players will be taking the role of a new character for this new adventure. The setting is also being described as a new hunting ground for the Alien. This will have players improvising and developing new tools to aid in their survival and escape, all to avoid "cinema’s deadliest killer." "It has been over a decade since we created the original Alien: Isolation and I am so excited to show everyone the first glimpse of the sequel," says Al Hope, Creative Director at Creative Assembly. "Our dedicated Survival team at Creative Assembly has been working hard to create a new, evolved Isolation experience continuing the legacy of the Alien franchise, making the eponymous killer smarter, the environment harsher and the chance of survival slimmer." Promising the same deadly tension from the original from over a decade ago, Alien: Isolation 2 is in development for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. A release date has not been announced yet.

    • Hello, From looking at the screen shots in your motherboard's manual at https://endownload.colorful.cn/EnDownload/MotherBroard/2022/Intel 600/Manual/Intel 600 Series BIOS English/Intel 600 Series BIOS User Guide.pdf, you go to the ADVANCED option at the top of the BIOS (UEFI) menu, then select SECURITY in the list of options on the left.  From there  you can enable and set the Secure Boot mode.
