What are the implications of having 2 domains with the exact same content?

Do search engines like/dislike this?

Any other concerns?

Thanks,

slappy

are you simply having each domains A-Record point at the same IP address? I don't imagine anyone cares.

I have .com - .org - .net and .co.uk all pointing to the same senseless drivel informative humorous diatribe.

Nobody, including the almighty Google, cares to be honest.

This is actually something I was curious about as well. So, for each domain ".com, .net, etc" I should redirect it to the .com domain? I thought that was the correct approach but wanted to double check. I don't do web work very often.

Multiple domains redirect to one is fine.

Multiple domains with same content is very bad.

That basically sums it up, you should also either have your site on www.mysite.com or http://mysite.com and make the one you don't wish to use redirect to the other. Don't have your site directly accessible on both.

I prefer http://mysite.com personally and always make the www redirect to that.
