2013 Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG by A.R.T.

I've always like the established auto tuners: Brabus or Lorinser (for Benz), Alpina (BMW), and ABT (Audi). These newer and smaller tuning bureaus couldn't impressed me until now...

That looks terrible lol. Looks like a cheap body kit in a MaxPower magazine from 1999.

To be fair though, I never really did like the G65.

i honestly never understood the design of this model. the company is all about curves (which they can't seem to get right aesthetically more often than not) but this goes against their own design philosophy. it just makes me want to ask them 'what were you thinking?

powerful but do not like :-/

Eh, it's not the worst looking car in the world. The end result is one of the most fun engines in the world - you really can't argue with a v12 biturbo that's putting down 738 lb/ft torque stock (easily achieve way more with an ECU tune) :p

Not sure, I think there's two reasons because 1) that's a lot of power to put to the ground, and can stress out the transmission (and other components) over the life of the car, and also 2) 738 lb/ft. is a nice and even 1,000 newton meters of torque, but that's minor. But, yes, torque is very fun, and the AMG's are notorious for having insane amounts of torque (usually more than the M & RS equivalents). I can say 465 lb/ft. of torque is extremely fun for day to day driving :D

Any Particular Reason that have Limited the Torque

Torque is the most fun thing about a high powered car

Probably so the tranny doesn't explode when you brush the throttle.

I like the G63/65 because they are bat**** insane. There's no good reason to own one, other than because you can. AMG doesn't try to disguise it as a genuine option for utilitarian motoring. The fact is it's a car that shouldn't exist, but they keep it alive for the oil barons in the Middle East to blow their money on.

The styling on this one is questionable, but no doubt it has presence and it's good bling. From that perspective it does everything it was originally designed for.

This is the kind of car you'd see being driven by a rich Arab in Saudi Arabia (or a rapper in North America). I don't really like the look but I can appreciate the "bling" factor. I wonder what the fuel economy is like. It must be pretty bad.

So upgrade the Transmission

The Veyron is over 930 lb-ft of Torque so its not as if its impossible

It'll be traction limited as well. 295 rubber isn't that much.

Then you'll say put bigger wheels on it, but the G65 has problems turning as it is. It's top-heavy and live axles front and rear don't help at all.

I expect its high ride height and archaeic suspension don't help either.

You could keep tweaking every single part of the car, but if you were to get it to a point where it can handle as much power as you can possibly screw out of the Biturbo V12, it wouldn't be a G-wagon anymore.

    • Huh? I have an Aeron Remastered and the backrest cannot go up or down (only the lumbar is adjustable). Yes, the Doro C300 Pro V2's backrest can be locked, but the locking mechanism is so weak that when you recline and lean back the backrest moves with your body. I think the whole purpose of this chair is that all of the moving parts (except for the rocking, which can be locked in place) are supposed to move with your body, as you shift your weight, that's why I couldn't get used to it. Some people might like it though. Its redeeming factor is the price, I mean it costs like a quarter of what a new Herman MIller (Aeron) costs.
    • Well done Massie. This is how to treat the Fox News filth.
    • I notice how you dodged the questions I had about the racism shown by ignorant, gullible, cowardly people when the Poles, like your partner, were the immigrants. Ahem. I wonder how you'd feel if native born Brits suddenly treated you as "dirty crooked immigrant" for being half Trump-American? If they ordered you to leave and "go back to your corrupt country" (on the other side of the Atlantic), would you go? The truth is based on facts as supported by evidence. As requested in your previous posts, I have used the facts in your own post to show everyone the truth.
    • US citizens are paying to their government, who could use that to fund healthcare and tuition and relieve the costs of these for citizens instead of making tax breaks that overwhelmingly favor the rich. I'm not saying that tariffs are the correct solution, but what else would they be used for? What else could Trump have in mind for wanting them, if he hasn't figured out that labor costs are higher in the US?
