So I finished the game a few days ago, beaten Dominus a few times too. My verdict is that the game is polished in any aspect. It has improved quite a lot since the beta. The only drawback I found was it's length. I took my time and still finished it in about 20 hours. New difficulty could offer more intense experience but not a new one for sure.

i typically explore the crap out of everything and try and get all rare monsters, i don't think i'll finish in 20 hours. But, this is definitely the game D3 could have been and its amazing such a small developer studio did this game.  MOTD says a new content release 1.01 is due nov 12th so it looks like this studio is in it for the long haul.

So did I despite the dungeons being randomized every 15 minutes. I guess it was because I played co-op with a Shadow who steamrolls swarms of monsters.

I for one enjoy this one more than I did with Diablo 3. And I hope the new content means more quests or instances.

yeah, i'm running melee, i'm having to spend a but more time keeping my gear up or sword and board with so so dps but great mitigation.

The entire gem and massive spec build capabilities and the 0 reliance on gold is exactly with this dungeon crawler formula need.  I do wish instance timers lasted a bit longer than 15 minutes before reset though

So I've been playing quite a bit in the last month and I have come to the conclusion that it's not worth playing the hardcore leagues in this game yet.

Desync has gotten me killed more times than I can count and I know it's not a problem that I alone am having because the devs have stated they are trying to work on a fix for it. So it's a pretty widespread issue.

Until that's fixed I don't think I'll bother with the hardcore leagues.

August Expansion Teaser Screenshot #1

We've prepared a teaser screenshot of some of the content in August's expansion. We've purposefully left it vague and aren't explaining what's shown in the shot, but plenty of details will be released in six days! It's really interesting seeing your speculation and theories.

That guy in the shot looks a lot like the one on the left of the new website skin, doesn't he?

Yeah, new 4 month leagues and the 1.2 mini-expansion are right around the corner.

Very exciting.

IMO, PoE has been one of the best games available for a while, it remains 100% free-to-play, and it continues to get better. I'm still playing it almost exclusively. (I play Hearthstone from time-to-time.)

I had planned to buy a console for Destiny, NBA2K15, and some others but I may just continue to wait... Don't need another dust collector.

Did they ever add damage numbers like in other games, like those numbers that pop up showing how much you did and detailed crits etc.  I always really enjoyed that in previous hack n slash games but missed it the last time i played PoE.

Nope, pretty sure they stated they won't add them either. PoE is very fast-paced and heavy on the action (lots of skills flying around and what not). Damage numbers would honestly clutter the screen up too much IMO.

That being said, with the passive tree changes, the build I've been planning (after playing it on standard and liking it) is getting more health, mana, resists (from the tree), block, spell block, %increased damage from the tree. On top of that the skill I'm using is being all around buffed. Literally the only thing not being buffed about my build is its group utility and the reserved mana cost of clarity.

Anybody still playing? I just got back to the game after a year hiatus. Playing a Level 75 Duelist right now. Quite fun, I'll be honest. The directions you can go in this game are so vast. If so, add me on Steam (Voxilli).

I'm going to start playing soonish again, probably around 1st week of November. I'll add you and send you a message :) I'm keen to jam

I haven't played in forever. Mainly because I found past a certain level, it was really hard for me to solo things. I would join random parties but they always either went off and did nothing or disbanded before anything could get done. If I had some friends who played it, I'd probably play it alot more, at least level up some more for starters.

You probably had a bad build or bad equipment. The right build with even mediocre equipment can get through all the normal content in the game, and through most of the maps (though you would want to skip some map mods or some bosses in certain maps).

That's one thing that kinda sucks about PoE, you really need to take the time to learn the game, whether that means reading forums or making many characters (since there is no easy way to respec) and learning on your own, before you can expect to make it into and through end-game content.

1.3 has been detailed, with a heavy focus on the next set of challenge leagues, PvP, skill tree revamp, new skills and uniques.

1 week race leagues begin this weekend. 1.3 will follow 1 week after their conclusion.

IMO, PoE has been the best game available on any platform since it released as open beta almost 2 years ago... I continue to play it heavily and support GGG.

I watched a video on YouTube where an infamous dude from Belgium glitched the game at it's highest difficulty. Maxed his health then maxed his lifesteal and he had become pretty much invincible. I hadn't played the game in a year but this got me interested so I downloaded it again and launched it. And to my surprise it seems people actually reported this video to Grinding Gear Games because all my skill points were reset and the skill tree was changed in a manner that you can't max out health and lifesteal at the same time :)

I just cannot play this anymore, at least on any of the characters I've already played on. I have a few level 20+ guys, and either I forgot how to play them effectively or I just suck because I get destroyed on the 1st mob usually :(

And I really don't feel like making another new dude and going through all the same content again and again. I guess if I had people to play with it'd be better, but eh.

Anyone playing this game? I've been finding it quite fun. I've been going through quests to level up and I'm enjoying the environments and such. I was wondering if there was any instances or raids like WoW. Trade chat is nuts with items for sale, maybe worse than WoW. Also, do you have to buy any of the packages in order to advance? They seem priced ridicously, starting at $50 and as hey as $500. Whom in their right mind is going to spend $500 on a game?

I had the game installed for some time but only just recently got into it. I love the graphics and gameplay. I find the talent tree to be incredibly complex. If there are any forums that I can read for help on specs and gameplay I'd like to check it out. I also looked at the micro transactions to see what kind of gear was available. I was appalled to see that the top end supporter package is $500! Does anyone really spend that for virtual items? Can you get through the game without having that kind of gear?

The Ultra 9 185H features 16 cores and 22 threads running at up to 5.1 GHz. It also includes a dedicated NPU utilizing Intel AI Boost at 11 TOPS. On the graphics front, the 185H includes the still fairly capable ARC Graphics (not to be confused with the newer ARC 140T) integrated GPU with a max GPU frequency of 2350 MHz across 8 Xe-cores. It has been said that the iGPU is equivalent to the NVIDIA GeForce 3050 and GTX 1650 in gaming and synthetic benchmarks. Other highlights include an AMOLED display, LPDDR5x memory at 7467 MT/s, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a fingerprint sensor built into the power button. AI PC? Although the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H includes a dedicated NPU, it's only 11 TOPS; therefore, it does not qualify as a Copilot+ PC. However, it can reach up to 33 TOPS with a combination of NPU, CPU, and GPU. As I said, although we only reviewed the X14 Pro, the unboxing is the same for the X16 Pro, which I noted in my review. The packaging is quite a nice experience. The outer box houses the X16 Pro box with a small compartment that contains the 5-in-1 Dock ($40 value), which appears to be an "Early Bird" inclusion. Upon removing the box cover, the X16 Pro is revealed sitting in a cardboard compartment with two small booklets of documentation. To the left of the X16 Pro are two cardboard compartments containing the 65W charger and Type-C USB cable. What’s In The Box 1 x GEEKOM X16 Pro Ultra-thin Laptop 1 x Type-C to Type-C cable 1.8M 1 x 65W GaN PD Fast Charger 1 x Warranty Card 1 x Thank You Card 1 x User Guide All products sold by GEEKOM receive a 3-year free Warranty from the date you receive the product. • We are reached to the point that apple looks affordable and better choice than anything else, in what dystopia are we living in....
    • Ouch. $1600 for 256GB SSD / 16GB? Even Apple, the purported "target" of Surface devices for a long time, has its MacBook Air M5 at 512GB SSD / 16GB RAM for $999 MSRP. Surface will never be reasonably priced with such low volumes.
    • Sadly price is pretty in line with the other new X2 devices so far. RAM/SSD prices have ruined everything.
