free command line zip utility

Although I'm a long-time WinZip user, I need another zip utlity.

I need a command line zip utility that supoorts the following:

-Windows XP

-long file names

-include list

-exclude list

-these must support directories for include/exclude

-free

I've tried several but haven't found anything that meets all of these requirements.

I'm surprised nobody else has answered your question.. InfoZIP has been around for aeons.... heck, WinZIP uses InfoZIP's code I believe.

look around in there. there a free version too. or you can use the built in "extract" command.

Rar for command line is free IIRC. it supports RAR and ZIP :D

wow! pkzip is still around? i haven't used that since the good ol' 486 days! :laugh:

PKZip won the best compression award from PC Magazine recently.

And I tried InfoZip. It doesn't support direcetpries to exclude in the list.

I think I've settled on PKZip 2.5.
