Hi,

We have a user that is unable to open IIS manager on Windows 2003.

He's part of the Administrators group - I understand that he won't get full admin access.

Here's the problem with IIS.

User is connected via RDP to the server.

Opens IIS manager and gets this error message:

THe snap-in below, referenced in this document has been restricted by policy. Contact your administrator for details. Internet information Services (IIS) Manager.

Is there a way to fix this?

Is there something that I can deactivate in the GPO?

Thanks,

What makes you think someone in the Administrator's group isn't a full admin? How else would they become a full admin?

Also, I'd look through the user's groups and check the GPO objects set for them. If he's in a restricted group and a non-restricted group (like Admins) the restrictive one will apply.
