what games would you like a Remake of in HD?

Recommended Posts

Resident Evil 1-3, Crash Bandicoot 1-3, Zelda: OoT / MM, Final Fantasy VII-IX

Without a doubt Resident Evil 1 - the masterpiece ;D

This has been already done... see steam age of the empires 2 hd, recently released.

I had bought/tried and refunded that garbage i want proper HD not "get the old engine to render at high resolution although still overall utilize lower quality textures"

The game is a shame pure marketing bs the most they have going for it is the workshop in hopes people will do the work for them and make the game worth buying till then i'll stick to original aoe2 with the native res fix

This! (these?)

I'd like to see all of the graphical Zork games redone. I miss Infocom. :/

Also, Ballblazer... What a blast!

there were graphical Zork's? I missed them. time to search ...

Final Fantasy IV & VII

Xenogears

Chrono Trigger

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Magic Carpet

Ultima IV

Ultima Underworld

The first Oddworld

Killer Instinct

Resident Evil 1

Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain ( And keep voices, and Zelda style gameplay! )

( Wow... I'm old )

Yup... Return to Zork, Zork Nemesis and Zork Grand Inquisitor. They were all fun but very dated now. :(

RTZ had a great opening. It started out as text from the original game and as the auto-typed player commands progressed to the white house it faded to the graphics.

Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2 (FF1 & FF2 on mobile style of remake)

Metal Gear Solid inc. Special Missions - or just play through MGS as Grey Fox and forget the VR missions.

Medievil

WipEout 2097

Final Fantasy VIII

Blood Omen: Legacy Of Kain

Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver

R-Type had a HD remake (R-Type and R-Type II) on XBLA.

Final Fantasy IV & VII

Xenogears

Chrono Trigger

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Magic Carpet

Ultima IV

Ultima Underworld

The first Oddworld

Killer Instinct

Resident Evil 1

Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2

Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2

THANK YOU!

Wondered when someone was going to say it.

I thought that someone would be me :D

Final Fantasy 2-9

Resident Evil 0-3 (1 could potentially be skipped due to the gamecube remake, but if they did them all at once I'd prefer they include it so that they all have a consistent look and feel)

Metroid

Zelda: A Link to the Past

Fear Effect 1-2

Day of the Tentacle

I'm sure there are more games that I enjoyed immensely and would like to see brought back, but these are definitely at the top of my list.

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
