HTC 8X - Beats issue with youtube videos

My HTC 8X is fine when playing music or videos on the device. But when I load a youtube video using the browser or the Metrotube App the Beats audio is disabled resulting in really bad sound quality. To fix it every time I start a new video I have to unplug and replug my headphones. It wasn't annoying at first, I thought there would be a patch out soon to fix it but it's now been 5 months with no patch.

I'm just wondering if anyone else here has experienced the same.

Nope, still just have to unplug and plug back in.

Not limited to the browser, the Pandora app (or any streaming audio) will produce the same issue. The only area that doesn't seem effected is XBox streaming (as I assume it uses some local caching the others can't).

Saw this pop up the other day though, will update and retest.
