Yes the title is not an illusion... I own an iPhone 4S. I was skeptical about them for a long time, since I switched from T-Mobile to Sprint on the 30th. Which, I like the experience so far. I actually came off of Gingerbread 2.3.6 on an MB611. That phone was on its last leg anyways only thing I don't like is iOS 6.1.3... Keeps shutting my 3G data off and on...well time to go run errands

Going from Android to iOS depending your needs you may not feel the downgrade so I can understand that, but downgrade yourself from a pure GSM/42Mbps HSPA/upcoming 100Mbps LTE T-Mobile's network to an ancient CDMA Sprint is consider a suicide for me. May I ask why you did that?

When I was on AT&T I really had no issues at all with my 3G data being consistently on w/o any problems. I've since switch to StraightTalk which uses AT&T towers and has the same speed as AT&T but I occasionally have to toggle airplane mode off-and-on because my data connection does appear to be working properly (especially when I am on travel). Toggling Airplane mode corrects the issue.

I think that it is a combination of quality of cell provider service stuff and iOS. I don't think it would be unreasonable for iOS to periodically check data integretity and attempting to fix it (by resetting it or whatever) if there are issues.

The iPhone is new to T-Mobile (although lots of users have brought unlocked iPhones to T-Mobile in the past). I suspect that they will iron out these kinks eventually.

I can't speak for him, but for many folks HSPA+ ~12-20mbps speeds is more than adequate for the vast majority of smartphone applications. 4S supports that. Hell, my connection tops out at 4mbps in my area but I have no interest in paying double for my cell service for LTE speeds.

An iPhone 3? Why that old? Thats not gonna be all that fun imo.

Bought my first Apple product was iPhone  1st generation. It was so new the network wasn't up and fully functional when I purchased the phone until a couple of days later. Every since I've had an iPhone 4, currently an iPhone 5. Bought a MacBook Pro 13" laptop after finished university, and traded it for a 24" iMac. Works like a charm.

I know, but it beats my flip phone I'm using right now, and money is tight. (Had to revert to my old sgh-a707) Beats this antique phone by a mile anyway. Plus, it's free, lol :D

I'd be suspect of Sprint more then iPhone.  Sprint isn't exactly known for having the best signal depending on what area of the country you are in.

Um, Lol I forgot about this thread, I actually got tired of Sprint and their ###### service went to AT&T and I'm no longer an iPhone owner...went back to Android

@Mr.XXIV I didn't have wifi at the moment to use airave. I was in a GOOD reception area and got crap service. but if I went on State st going towards canton, it was fine. I'm happy where I'm at now though

More than happy with my iPhone 5 and iPad mini both running iOS7 beta 6 :)

I have owned every generation of the iphone too, will probably sell my current 5 for a 5s when its out. It is white and unlocked too for those interested ;)

    • Google pitches Spanner as one database for all AI agents with these new featues by Karthik Mudaliar Google Cloud is introducing new features within Spanner, its distributed database, as a place where enterprises should keep their data, using which AI agents could make smarter and better decisions. In a detailed blog post, Google highlighted quite a few features coming to Spanner, including relational data, graph relationships, vector search, key-value access, full-text search, and operational analytics together in one database architecture. Google says that today's systems aren't well-made for AI agents. There could be data that is present in one system, search indexes in another, embeddings in a vector database, and relationship data in a graph database. This fragmentation isn't great for AI agents to do their jobs because they don't have access to all of this data in one place. This is where Google is positioning Spanner as a solution. Spanner is already a globally distributed relational database with strong consistency, and Google wants its customers to see it as a broader data layer for AI applications. The company introduced something called Spanner Graph, along with integrated vector search, full-text search, a Cassandra-compatible key-value endpoint, and a columnar engine for analytical queries on operational data. Google also added that its ScaNN-powered vector search can support indexes with more than 10 billion vectors, while the columnar engine can make some analytical scans up to 200 times faster. All of this isn't just exclusive to the Google Cloud Platform, and there's support for multi-cloud as well. This comes via Spanner Omni, which Google says is a downloadable, containerized version of Spanner that can run on Kubernetes and in environments outside Google Cloud, including Microsoft Azure and AWS, and even on-premises infrastructure as well as edge deployments. Google says that customers who are interested in the full-featured edition should contact the company, and there's no word on commercial availability or separate pricing. Those interested can read the full blog by Google Cloud, which details these features individually.

    • They have lots of info on me, I have a facebook account and have done so for years, it was the thing to have then. My phone number is not on it. I don't have the Facebook app on my phone these days, just the messenger part, and only for a couple of people to contact me, most will text me via SMS or phone. I agree, Meta, like others, even without an account will know something about me. Just have to try and keep some things private Also, never saw the need for Whatsapp, people used to ask for me to join it, but as I said to them, I have SMS and a phone, use that, or email
