How to remove Portaldosites?

Hi. I accidentally downloaded Portaldosites. I tried to remove it, but nothing happened and it is still there everytime I open my browser. What should I do?? :(

How did you try to remove it? Uninstall will do nothing. Try Malwarebytes.

Never heard of it before, but after a quick Google I came across some instructions from MalewareBytes that you could try. See here.

Looks like it can be quite stubborn to get rid of.

hello. I tried to remove it from control panel and i also searched for some files and folders with the same name. i found some but as i said - no result.

i will do what you said and i will be back with some feed back. thank you. :)

Hello.

So I finally won against the infection.

As you said I downloaded Malwarebytes. And i did a scan with it.

I also searched in google and found some other forums in which people having the same problem redirected me here http://www.americanp.../portaldosites/

I followed the steps shown ther for manual removal, and I deleted what was left in the add ons and extensions menu.

After that I did another scan with my antivirus program and my computer appears to be clean now.

Good thing there was no need for System Restore ( I haven't done one so far). Thank you guys for the help.
