Stumbled upon this marvel of a show.

It has a proper story arc, high quality production and is interesting!

Came out of nowhere so to say.

Not quite sure why there aren't more people commenting on this.

I guess its because the media hasn't flooded our social feeds with it/commercials everywhere, as with other series?

Wayward Pines is executive produced by Chad Hodge with M. Night Shyamalan

Finally something decent from MNS i guess, Ill have to watch the pilot

Wayward Pines has received mostly favorable reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season holds a rating of 85%, based on 48 reviews. The site's critical consensus reads, "Creepy and strange in the best way possible, Wayward Pines is a welcome return to form for M. Night Shamalyan [sic]."[26] The fifth episode, "The Truth", received an individual rating of 83%, the only episode of the season to do so.[27] On Metacritic, the first season has a score of 66 out of 100, based on 34 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews".[28]

Yeah I guess you are right about the little media attention. Couldn't really find any big articles online after I was done watching.

Then I realised that M. Night Shyamalan was involved and recalled some controversy attached to his name. But from what I understand he is only directing here.

Stumbled upon this show by accident whilst checking "high seed" torrents vs IMDB scores + Scifi ..... yeah I know ; )

As for the show:

Dragontology sums it up pretty well! The cast is pretty good.

It sort of reminded me a bit of Alan Wake at first but morphed into something else as it went along.

I didn't like Matt Dillion's reaction at the end of the last episode, could have definitely been re-shot.

But so far it's an interesting series, is this going to go on for a few season or is it like a mini-series?

From what I read online it seems to cover the whole story in 10 episodes but with a chance to create a second season if the ratings agree with it.

This mini series needs to run for years! it's fantastic! My only issue in great shows are families.. kill the mother and kid and let the protagonist concentrate on better things.

this is why Terra Nova failed.

There are a few Scifi shows that did something very similar recently.

Unfortunately Under the Dome was not one of these shows ; ).

I liked the series and thought it was enjoyable for the most part, but the ending and even the last episode to an extent was poorly done.

Should have ended 1 scene earlier then where they left it.

Anyone else disappointed in this season?  First season was great ... this one just feels so meh ... generic I guess?

Each episode in the first season seemed to be structured in a unique way / genre / theme. This one seems to be lacking this feeling.

The first season moved very quickly whilst this one seems to be beating around the bush.

Not sure what to make of it but it is starting to feel like Under the Dome.

the 1st season was meant to be a mini-series. Fox got greedy with its success and created a second season. It didnt need a second season.

It could have worked as a second season if maybe they tried to leave the boundaries of the compound to rediscover the world and maybe other "survivors".

The show does have potential and there could be a lot that can be taken out from a story telling point of view. We still don't know on what really happened between mankind and ..... . It is mainly assumptions up to this point.

Shame that it is moving in the wrong direction .. they could have left it with just one season.
